Listening Is Learning
Funded Nov 24, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation. The students have done great things using their devices with the headphones, that with your help, they are able to use daily. The students no longer are taping together broken head pieces.
We have researched different topics, improved our reading and math skills, created projects and have played games during our down time. Working in a community, where at times certain items are hard to come by, being able to work with people like you make this difficult job a lot easier and a lot more rewarding.”

Learning Through Art
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you so much for your generous contributions. We have been working very hard this year and your contributions have made our learning experience that much more memorable and successful. We have been using a lot of the art materials during our study of China. We have painted habitats, created cherry blossom scrolls, lanterns and so much more. We can't wait to post pictures of our completed China Showcase. Once again, thank you for all of your generosity. You do not know how much we all appreciate it.”

This classroom project was brought to life by An Anonymous Classroom Supporter and 5 other donors.Return to School Safely
Funded Aug 13, 2020This has been one of the most difficult years we have all ever faced. We entered this school year with lots of optimism but there have been many many challenges. From not having the money to buy school supplies or protective materials to not having money to buy food or pay rent. The donation you have all given us, big or small has had a GREAT impact on all of my students lives.
My students have been able to use the art materials to supplement the materials they could not get from their parents. We used the construction paper and color pencils and markers to brighten up the classroom after being home for almost 6 months. Students also benefited from the masks, hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies. They come in to their classroom knowing that it is clean and ready for them.
All of this would not be possible without you. Once again thank you and look forward to a better year.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Kleenex Brand. It's a New School Year!
Funded Nov 1, 2019We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your well thought out donations to our class. We have been using many of the materials given to us for several different projects from our China exhibit to our current research unit where we are learning about different animals.
Working in a community where most of the population is from a lower income family, many times it is difficult to have the resources needed to inspire young minds. We often have to ask for contributions from special people like you that make all of this learning possible. We are truly thankful and humbled by all of your help.”

Hustle and Bustle Classroom
Funded Nov 16, 2018Would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your generous donations. My students have benefited from the art supplies and being able to display their work on the bulletin board has made them proud of all of their hard work. Our Nigerian unit got that extra boost of pizzaz with all of the awesome materials we were able to get with all of your help. This experience will definitely be one they will remember as they get older and continue their educational career. I can't thank you enough for all of your help and I know my students thank you a thousands time more.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Staples and 5 other donors. It's Art Time!
Funded Jan 11, 2018Wanted to take the time to thank you for donating to our classroom. I am extremely thankful for your generosity. I was completely surprised when I received the email that my project was completely funded. My students have already used most of the supplies, from the dough and paint to the glitter glue on their different art projects. Students worked on making Nigerian drums, Savannah silhouette paintings, and Chinese dragons.
They were so excited when the boxes were brought into the classroom. They quickly began to make plans and oohs and aah's resonated throughout the third grade floor as I took out the art supplies and explained to them how lucky we were to receive these items. We had a long conversation about what it meant to donate and to give back to a community.
In the 3rd grade we learn about countries around the world including the countries of Nigeria and China. We had a huge Nigerian celebration to showcase all of our beautiful creations and for China we are planning interclass visits with other grades. I truly believe that these experiences are ones that these students will remember for years to come and donors like you make all of this possible.”

Classroom Supplies
Funded Oct 24, 2016Dear Donors,
You do not know how extremely thankful I am for all of your generous contributions. I was in complete shock when I received that email that stated that my project was funded. You allowed my class to participate in hands on projects such as relief maps (3D land form maps) and create their own compass rose. My students were immersed with hands on activities as soon as the boxes came in. They couldn't wait to use the paint, construction paper, bulletin board paper, brushes, clay, bins etc... This year I plan to create further projects and hands on activities and your donations play a big part in that. We plan to create a Winter Counts which is a Native American winter calendar which uses vibrant colors and symbols and your generosity is allowing all of this to happen. Once again from the bottom of my heart and from all of my kiddos we want to give each and every one of you a huge THANK YOU!!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Espinales-Sanchez
