If I Can See, I Will Be Able To Learn!

Help me give my students a projector and screen that will allow my students to learn with greater ease, as a greater number of students with glasses still cannot read the information on our currently cracked monitor.

  • Printing Our Futures!

    Funded Jul 9, 2024

Your donation of filament has already had a direct impact on my students. Today I saw sixth, seventh, and twelfth graders working together. The seniors are preparing the next generation of students by teaching them how to create and print 3d designs. I am so proud of our students. They are awesome. The younger students are eager to learn and the older students are eager to prepare the future Robotics Team members.

Your donation is giving many students the opportunity to design new and original products. The concept of budget is no longer a problem. If we need, we can print it. As our students design products that will benefit the future I see children becoming adults. I see students becoming leaders. You should feel proud about the great opportunities you have provided these students. Likewise, our students are students are learning from you. I see children learning that helping tomorrows future is an investment worth doing. Thank you for making a difference. We appreciate you.”

  • Help Us Find Our Identities!

    Funded Nov 9, 2023

Your gift of the cricut machine, inkjet printer, and materials has been a blessing. I recall the first print that generated. The students looked sad (I was learning how to use the equipment). As we progressed (and the students did their research), the prints improved.

The students are very excited to wear their newly designed shirts at our tournament on February third. This wonderful gift has also helped bring in new students into the robotics team as the t-shirts created curiosity among the students. The students are eager to create other items such as hats and sweaters (require a different type of press). I am especially proud of the robotics team as they all drew logos for the team and collectively voted on the final draft. The student that created the logo was shy to begin with. The act of creating a team logo has given a loud voice on our campus. Thank you for making the difference in so many lives.”

  • Help Us Find Our Way With GPS and Wheels!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

The donation of wheels and an expansion hub have been a great addition to the robotics team. Thanks to you, our students are now able to create more sophisticated machines where multiple motors can control every aspect of the robot. This does come with a variety of new challenges for the students. They now have the ability to create new codes with the gps that the expansion hub has. This is difficult to master, yet worth the additional effort.

The students have dealt with each challenge with optimism and new ideas. Our young (6-8th grades) students have been working around the clock learning how to create machine learning with the new sensors from the expansion hub. Our design team has taken upon themselves to troubleshoot the use of the wheels that are not truly compatible with the kit we are using. These tough engineers figured out strategies for making all the components work seamlessly.

I thank you for your dedication to our future engineers. Your donation helps me rest at night knowing that these bright students have all the resources they need to be successful in building such an elaborate machine. Thank you giving our students the opportunity to shine with their tenacity towards making the their ideas come to life.”

  • Evening the Playing Field!!!

    Funded Jul 21, 2023

Our robotics team is officially ready for a tournament. The students have been ecstatic to work on the robot as we now have a playing field to test the robots on. Your donation has allowed the boys and girls to test their robots on a playing field that is free of cracks and debris. The respect demonstrated by the students for the playing field is something special. Students take off their shoes when working on the playing field. Our mechanical engineers have been able to take accurate measurements of due to the field having set parameters.

Our students are struggling to make a robot that can pick up objects, throw a paper airplane on an intended target and climb an apparatus. Your donation has inspired them to think outside the box as they see the walls of field and brainstorm how to throw an object over them while trying to hit a target. This year's challenge is pushing our students to their limits. However, they are optimistic that the team will do well as they can now test their newly built robots on the track they will be competing on. I am confident that you have just secured a few more engineers for the future.”

  • Help Us Find Something Good To Read!

    Funded Jul 21, 2023

Your donation has been the beacon of hope I was looking for. I finally experienced something really special as a teacher. A middle school student asked, "May I borrow this book? I really want to read it." This question was accompanied by a big smile and the words, "Really! I can borrow it? Can I borrow the next book when I finish this one?"

As a teacher, I have tried to foster reading in my homeroom. This is a challenge when your series of books do not relate to the audience. Your donation of books has helped me motivate more students to read. One student asked, what can I read after I finish this series? I followed up by showing her another series written by the same author. Talking about building momentum! The timeless classics you have donated will be around for a long time allowing students to experience the magic of escaping the challenges of life as they venture into the unimaginable. Thank you for making a different that will hopefully lead to something better (Future College Graduates)!”

  • A Robot Named Josh Joint Operation Software & Hardware

    Funded Jul 17, 2023

Your donation has had a tremendous impact on the robotics team. The students are excited every time we meet. The tools you provided (including the driller) have inspired the students to create new parts for the robot. This year, the challenge could really deter students from wanting to compete as the expectations are very high. Your donation has helped my students to create the unimaginable. The students are using the motors and pivot to create an arm that hyperextends and reaches the elements that need to be collected.

The team has many new members (mostly seventh grade). These new members are full of energy and optimism. They are designing solutions for every challenge. They were able to turn a piece of metal, use the vise to bend it and drilled holes with the drill bits you provided. This year's challenge would make many students abandon the robotics team. That is not true at our school. The boys and girls on the team are up for the challenge. I see that our students may be on a robotics team. However, I know that we are galvanizing the students' dreams of becoming engineers. Thank you for allowing my students the opportunity make their dreams a reality. You are the reason why children never stop dreaming.”

  • Lifting Our Students To New Heights!

    Funded May 21, 2023

Your donation of the Lift Kits has already had a significant impact on the students. They are very excited to design a better robot. I am very proud of my students for being able to receive a difficult challenge and still stay positive as they struggle. Your donation has allowed my students to further develop their robots. Dreams are becoming a reality.

Although, these pictures speak volumes about our students, it would be unfair not mention the students' struggles. Imbedded in these smiles are children with extreme challenges at home. I find relief in knowing that while building these robots the students have the opportunity to forget about what awaits them at home. You will also notice that many of these students are young. These new robotics members are special. Their tenacity to outdo themselves is something special to watch. I love when I hear, "It works, but how can we make it better?" Public schools do their best to foster the passion of learning. However, sometimes we fall short. You made the difference for these students.

Your gracious donation is motivating the students to surpass all expectations. Your donation is changing lives. I cannot thank you enough.”

  • Magnifying My Education!

    Funded Dec 5, 2022

Your donation of a large screen monitor has had a profound impact on my students. For the first time this school year, I have gone a week of teaching without any student stating, "I can't see the code." Your donation has helped streamline teaching coding to my students. The whole class is engaged and participating more than ever. The stand is perfect as it is holding the monitor high enough for all to see the instruction.

My students have been designing websites that will be published with the intent to help teach others about a variety of topics. You have graciously donated funding to make this dream a reality. My students are sharing in the only way they can at the moment (their ideas/imagination). I am sure that your impact on their learning will reciprocate when they graduate from a university and have the ability to share their own wealth with others. Thank you for making a difference in so many lives.”
