Life Is A Box of Colors!
Funded Mar 21, 2014I want to thank you once again for your dedication and support of public education. Thank you for your generosity. My students were so excited when we received the color printer and ink cartridges. They couldn't wait to create their projects!
My students and I are using the color printer/scanner to create newsletters, print pictures, and give life to their projects. They love to wait by the printer and are always in awe of how the finished project turns out.
This project has boosted my teaching because it gives me more opportunities to use technology in the classroom by using a color printer and scanner. I am able to teach my students how to scan their projects and print in color! They are amazed each time. For my students, they enjoy learning even more because knowing that they can create projects using color excites them. We use graphics, clip art, and other media to enhance their projects. The possibilities are endless.

You've Got Mail!
Funded Oct 7, 2013Thank you so much for your donation and inspiring words! My students absolutely LOVE the resources we have received with the "You've Got Mail!" project. My students are using the resources to write friendly letters to each other! They have learned the parts of a letter and they have even learned how to address an envelope! They are excited and want to know when we will be writing again! They also love our classroom mailbox! They enjoy "mailing" their letters and look forward to receiving mail! Thank you again for your generosity and for helping to inspire young minds.”

Winning the Pencil War!
Funded Jun 14, 2013I want to thank you once again for your interest in "Winning the Pencil War" project! My students were excited to receive the materials! We got started right away!
This has helped us tremendously. I no longer have to spend my morning sharpening pencils. Nor do I have to stop teaching to sharpen a broken pencil! These resources have helped my students greatly. If a child finds a pencil on the floor, he/she quickly asks who it belongs to. They are constantly looking out for one another. It definitely has helped build a positive learning community.
In addition, the kids have become more responsible with their materials. They look forward to the little prize on Monday morning when their pouches are returned. Plus, each week I have a pencil technician who collects the pencil pouches on Friday and sharpens all of the pencils (they love this job!!).
This project has helped boost my students learning by helping to build a positive learning community and fostering the core value of responsibility. It has helped my teaching by allowing me to TEACH and not have to constantly stop to sharpen pencils!
