A wind synthesizer will allow my students to experience playing an instrument without the sensory issues that often come with playing a wind instrument. Several of them would love to be able to play a wind instrument, however, they often struggle with the vibrations of wind instruments. I also have a small band with unusual instrumentation that also would benefit from a wind synthesizer that can play the sound of any instrument! As a small program, funded by only donations, we have a limited amount of instruments available for students to learn; this wind synthesizer could take over the role of the more expensive instruments such as a French horn, tuba, baritone, etc.
