Ready for Math!
Funded Oct 12, 2023Thank you for your generosity. Your donation has made a great impact in our classroom. It has made it possible for my students to practice math and have fun at the same time. They are very excited and often ask to use the multiplication dominoes math games.
I have noticed that my students are learning their multiplication facts faster and they look forward to doing their multiplication facts tests.
My students are also using the Place Value Math Stacks. I have noticed that they enjoy playing the game while learning place value. Thank you again for making a great impact in my students' education.”

Funded Sep 13, 2023Your donation has made a great impact in our classroom. Now we can incorporate books to our STEM challenges to provide students with important background knowledge. One of the activities my students did after reading and discussing The Polar Express was to build a maze to get the jingle bell back to the boy. My students had time to think about the problem they were trying to solve, imagine the best way to solve it on their own, sketch out their design, plan, create, experiment, and improve their design if needed.
My students were able to work together and to help each other during this activity. My students had so much fun and had a goal in mind when building the maze.”

My students have been enjoying reading about the solar system, landforms, habitats, solar energy, the water cycle, floods, and much more.
Again, thank you so much for your donation. My students look forward to learning about science. Your donation is making a great impact in our classroom.”

Funded Jul 25, 2022My class and I are very grateful for your generosity. All my students were able to have all the necessary supplies by the first day of school. They look forward to math time where they use their whiteboards and dry erase markers. I can see that all of them are engaged because they have different resources to use for their learning. They also love to color during math time. Having them color a worksheet encourages them to check their work. Again, thank you so much for your donation. It is making a great impact in our students' education.”

Funded Oct 10, 2018My students and I were extremely happy when we found out our project had been funded. We really appreciate your generous contribution to our classroom. It makes dreams come true!! When I passed out the lab coats for my students to wear for the first time, we noticed the quality of the lab coats and one of my students asked, "Are our lab coats made of the same material as the doctor's lab coats?" I noticed that he was very happy to be able to wear one.
We started using the anatomy models and all my students were involved and collaborating with each other. Throughout the year, my students will continue to work with all the materials that we received, and my goal for them is for each student to be able to tell and write about how the heart, skeleton, brain, and human body work. They will also continue to use the stethoscope to listen to their hearts and record how many times their heart beats when they are sitting, after they walk, and after they run. We are so grateful and can't thank you enough for your generosity!”

Funded May 10, 2018I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. My students love the books that were donated to our class and are always waiting for the moment when I tell them that it is reading time. I can see that they are reading because they want to read and not because they have to read. We have had the books for a month, and my students are already improving in reading.
Many of them come to me and share with me what they are reading. They love Captain Underpants and Dog Man. They also really like Dork Diaries and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. They have been taking tests after reading these books and, by looking at their test scores, I can see that they are understanding what they are reading.
Once again, thank you for providing these books for my students. Your donation is greatly impacting my class this year and will greatly impact my future students.”

Mrs. Ortiz
