The books that I chose from AKJ Education will be used for independent reading, where students can choose to take them more to read at their leisure. I chose these books specifically because they fall under the real of multicultural literature and each story focuses on different life experiences, as well as some different cultures. The resources from Britannica and Scholastic will be used to teach nonfiction literature features and how to analyze text for information, as well as writing nonfiction stories. Overall, I believe these resources will help me as the teacher create meaningful experiences for students to engage with the text and discover a love for literacy.
