    Thank you so much for supporting our classroom with your donation to this project! My students and I really appreciate your kindness and generosity!

    I teach at a school that will be 100 years old next year! Needless to say, storage options are few and far between! With this project, my students and I have been able to store materials that they use for centers and other activities in Math, Science, and Social Studies in a nice and organized way. My students devised a checkout system for our Math manipulative and games that really works out well! We are in the process of doing the same thing for our Science materials!

    Being back in the classroom after distance learning is wonderful! My students have missed being together and working together. When we first returned, protocols were very strict and students could not sit together to collaborate. While Covid is still among us, thankfully it is not as bad as it has been and classroom routines are starting to get back to normal.

    Being able to have a rug area in my classroom again has been one of the highlights of this new school year and one of the favorite spaces for students to read, relax and research!

    My students and I are happy to be "back to normal" after almost 3 years of remote teaching and learning. Being able to sit together and complete projects have really been missing the past few years.

    The resources you helped to provide are giving my students the opportunity to engage in wonderful STEAM activities and read about child inventors and scientists...giving them inspiration for their future!

    Our learning garden is beginning to take shape! My students are enjoying painting the rocks this project provided for our raised beds and have plans to infuse the "A" in STEAM into many more projects in the future.

    Being back in the classroom is wonderful after almost three years of remote teaching and learning! My students are happy to be back together and I am happy to be interacting with them in person as well! In our classroom students sit at round tables so they don't have traditional desk space to house the materials they need most often. That is where your wonderful donation helps us the most!

    Because of your generosity, I can give each of my students a "NeatSeat" that fits on their chair. They store journals, pencil pouches, water bottles, workbooks...everything they may need at any given time! And, at the end of the year, they will close it up and take it home!

My students are natural born scientists. They are curious about the world around them and are always asking questions. Our school is small--approx. 350 students, which is not the norm in California, with an amazing and supportive principal. My students are eager to learn--their brains are sponges that absorb any and all information given to them. Everything is a potential investigation/experiment to them so I strive to provide my students with as many learning and project based opportunities as possible to enhance the school curriculum and students' intrinsic motivation to learn more. We are a Title 1 school, but because of our size funding levels are not as high as other schools that have higher enrollments. With the help of parent volunteers and other sources, our school thrives and student achievement is high! We're the best little school in CA! We believe that the future lies in our children, that they have virtually unlimited potential and our job is to enable them to reach it.
