  • Tech Tools To Teach My Techies!

    Funded Jan 17, 2023

Thank you so very much for supporting my students and our classroom by donating to this project. We really appreciate your generosity!

My students love technology! They love to make and present PowerPoint presentations, conduct research on their Chromebooks, and make audio recordings of their science projects. We are lucky to have a Promethean Board in our classroom for my students to use, especially when they are making presentations.

The materials this project funded allows my students to advance their slide presentations from any place in the room! That really was a game-changer! My students are not tied to the space by the board and are free to express themselves and interact with classmates while they show their slides! They love using the "clicker" as they call it!!!

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gaiter

  • Our Calming Space

    Funded Dec 20, 2022

Thank you for supporting my students and our classroom by donating to this project. My students and I appreciate your generosity.

Outside of our classroom is our learning garden, where my students plant and cultivate seeds, and have a space where they can go to read, relax or de-stress. Our learning garden space is a favorite, not only for my students but our school community.

Keeping the growing going is always a challenge! I am so thankful for your donation because we were able to refresh our gardens and keep the growing going! My student absolutely love being in the space! Your donation helps us (them) maintain it all year long.

    Thank you again!”

  • Calming Classroom Chaos!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my students and our classroom by donating to this project. We really appreciate your kindness and your generosity.

My students are wonderful and hardworking. I strive to provide an environment that promotes their curiosity and independence. The materials you helped to fund allowed me to encourage my students to set up a filing system for their completed work. They love to put their materials in the filing bins and keep the system neat and running smoothly. I am thankful that this project allowed me to provide this and the art bins for my students. Classroom organization is key and a very important part of keeping my classroom and student calm!

Thank you again for your support.”

  • 4th Grade Engineers Love Hands-on Science

    Funded Jul 6, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my students and our classroom by donating to this project! We really do appreciate your kindness and your generosity!

My students love science and they love STEM projects. This project that you helped to fund provided me with a plethora of ideas and lessons that I could use with my students to teach engineering and design principles.

After reading a favorite story revolving around a character that loved to invent and make things, my students had a great time making their own inventions. They made a vehicle that could "fly" (on a zip line across the room" and a vehicle that is powered by air, using inexpensive materials found at home or in the classroom. I must say, my students learned a lot and had a blast!

Thank you again for supporting this project!”

  • Beginning the Year With STEAM!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to this project. My students and I appreciate your support and your generosity.

Since the pandemic, hands-on experiences have been very rare. When my students first returned to the classroom they were very hesitant to interact with each other, and remained very distant. As time went on, their anxieties lifted and they are able and willing to work together on assignments and projects.

My students thoroughly enjoyed these STEM kits! They had fun while learning science concepts relating to air, movement, and velocity! I am so happy that they were able to have this experience. Thank you again for your support!”

  • New Tech For 4th Grade Techies!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my students and our classroom with your donation to our project. We really appreciate your kindness and your generosity!

Having a computer dedicated to printing in our technology center is a game changer! My students were beyond excited when I told them this project was funded and that they would have a "printing computer" (as they call it!). The pandemic has produced some of the most tech-savvy students I have had in my career. The minute we opened up the box they insisted that I connect it to the printer!

Thank you so much for this wonderful gift. This is a resource my students will use this year and beyond.”

  • Fourth Grade Rock Hounds!

    Funded Oct 14, 2022

Thank you for supporting my students and our classroom with your generous donation to this project. We appreciate your support very much!

Learning about rocks and minerals is a favorite topic in my classroom. Once the subject is introduced, my students want to learn how to identify and classify rocks and minerals and constantly bring in rocks from home to add to our classroom studies. Your donation provided my students with easily identifiable rock and mineral samples, helping them to understand how to put them into groups. They absolutely had a blast with this unit!

Thank you so much for helping me provide the materials my students needed for this topic.”

  • More Activities Means More Learning!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my students and our classroom by donating to this project! My students and I really appreciate your generosity!

Coming back to the building after the pandemic is both challenging and exciting! My students are happy to be back together yet still a bit apprehensive about being around each other. Our required curriculum is great, but sometimes is lacking in creativity with some of the lessons and activities.

With the Teacher Pay Teachers gift cards you funded, I was able to provide my students with supplemental activities in reading, science, and social studies that helped bring lessons to life. My students were able to participate in hands-on activities that directly related to what they were learning, and have fun while doing them.

Thank you again for helping me provide these resources to my students.”

  • Just The Basics!

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you so much for donating to our project! My students and I really appreciate your generosity and willingness to help us have the materials we need to achieve our goals!

You would be surprised at the number of pencils and markers we go through in a year! With your help, my students will have enough supplies to last us at least until the end of the year! Most of my students do not have the financial means to be able to purchase even the most basic supplies. I am so glad that you were able to help me provide this for them! They especially love using the markers!

Thank you again for supporting our classroom!”

    Funded Oct 23, 2022

Thank you so very much for supporting my students and our classroom by donating to this project! I really do appreciate your generosity and willingness to help me provide my students with the resources they need to succeed!

Having these new headphones is a game-changer! My students loved the colors and the fact that they could choose their favorite! They got to work and started using them immediately! They are working on creating student-authored books about California and these headphones helped them to stay focused and on task!

Thank you again for your help!”

My students are natural born scientists. They are curious about the world around them and are always asking questions. Our school is small--approx. 350 students, which is not the norm in California, with an amazing and supportive principal. My students are eager to learn--their brains are sponges that absorb any and all information given to them. Everything is a potential investigation/experiment to them so I strive to provide my students with as many learning and project based opportunities as possible to enhance the school curriculum and students' intrinsic motivation to learn more. We are a Title 1 school, but because of our size funding levels are not as high as other schools that have higher enrollments. With the help of parent volunteers and other sources, our school thrives and student achievement is high! We're the best little school in CA! We believe that the future lies in our children, that they have virtually unlimited potential and our job is to enable them to reach it.
