A Quiet Space For Reflection
Funded Aug 9, 2017Thank you so much for supporting this project. My students and I appreciate your generosity very much!
My students absolutely LOVE this chair! When I put it together they could not wait to try it out! It really is unlike anything they have ever seen or experienced before. I did have to remind them that it is not a toy or a ride, and once they realized and understood that, they were allowed to use the chair.
This chair gives my students who need time to themselves a place to reflect and work. They want to call it "the thinking chair" because they say that when they sit on it it helps them to focus. What a wonderful connection they made!
Thank you again for helping me get this resource for my students. I am hoping to write additional grants so our classroom can have a set of these "thinking chairs". It really has made a big impact with my students and in our classroom environment.”

Funded Jul 4, 2017Thank you so much for supporting this project and my students! We really appreciate your generosity!
Last year I decided to transform my classroom from traditional square desks to all round tables. What a difference it made to my classroom environment! Of course, as soon as we settled in, I received more students, thus the need for this project! Because of you we now have enough round tables for all of the students in my classroom, and an extra one that my students have named "the discussion table"!
My students were so excited when I told them the grant was funded and even more so when the table arrived! They insisted on helping me assemble it! I know this gave them a real sense of accomplishment and ownership. It was a really special morning!
Thank you again for donating to this project. My students and I are humbled that you would support us and our classroom.”

Funded Mar 30, 2017Thank you for supporting my students and my classroom. Having a upgraded laptop computer in the classroom is a wonderful resource that my students will use for years to come!
We live in a technological world, and my students are very savvy. Providing them with the resources to excel, especially in this area, is a main goal of mine, especially because many of my students come from homes that cannot afford these devices. With this laptop, my students are writing stories, conducting research, and creating powerpoint presentations to share with the school community. It is wonderful to have a piece of equipment in the classroom that is dependable and up-to-date, knowing that it won't crash while my students are using it! They absolutely love it!
Thank you so very much for your generosity and for taking a keen interest in my students. I am so very appreciative of your support and am humbled that you are willing to help a group of students that you don't know succeed.”

Funded Jul 3, 2017Thank you so very much for supporting this project and my classroom! Your gift has made a tremendous effect on our classroom environment and my students absolutely love the tables!
In my classroom students work on project based assignments where they have to brainstorm, plan, collaborate and design. Having flexible seating that allows for natural cooperation and dialog is essential to that success. My students know that they have the freedom to move about the room and sit where they need to in order to get their assignments done. In addition, my classroom is the only one on our campus that has all round tables. My students love that they are "different" and always bring their friends and family to our room to take a peek!
Thank you again, for your generous support. My students and I are very thankful and appreciative of your support!”

Funded Mar 29, 2017Thank you so very much for supporting this project and my students. I am very appreciative of your generosity and your willingness to help me to provide my students with the resources they need to succeed.
Having all round tables in my classroom was a major transformation. Not only does it look really cool, but the flexible seating option was great for my students! They were always sitting in cooperative, collaborative groups making it easy for them to work on projects together. The seating arrangement was not set in stone, so my students could work with different classmates throughout the day, and meeting with small groups was a breeze! My students absolutely love the new seating arrangements, and so do I!
Thank you again for donating to this project. I think a picture is worth a thousand words, and looking at my students in action, you can see that they are fully immersed and are taking full advantage of your generosity.”

Funded Nov 29, 2016Thank you so very much for supporting this project! My students and I are very grateful and so very happy that you donated to this project!
My students love to publish their work! Having an ample supply of toner is so very useful! Of course, l not everything can be printed! However, they are very mindful and make sure that when they can print, their work is perfect! It is really wonderful to see my students with pride in their eyes when their published work comes out of the printer! It has been a very awesome resource to have in our classroom.
Thank you again for your generosity. It is because of the kindness of strangers that my students are getting the supplies they need to succeed. I am humbled and very, very thankful.”

Having access to technology is so very important today. The world is changing and it is my job to make sure my students are prepared and ready for what the future holds! Most of my students' families do not have the financial means to have these types of resources in their homes. Because of you and your generosity I am able level the playing field and give my students access to the latest learning tools with technology.
Thank you again for helping me help my students. They say it takes a village to educate and help children succeed. I am so very glad and thankful that you are part of mine.”

Having this resource for my students has made a tremendous impact on their learning. The program you helped to fund is fun and interactive and my students love to use it. Because of this wonderful program most of my students have mastered their multiplication and division facts, all the while having a blast! Combining learning with fun is the best way to ensure success!
Most of my students do not have the financial means to be able to use these types of programs at home. In my classroom all of my students have the opportunity to have access to up to date technology that will improve their skills. It is because of your generosity and willingness to help me help my students that this is possible.

Funded Dec 11, 2016Thank you so very much for supporting this project. My students and I really appreciate your generosity.
Having round tables has really transformed my classroom. My students absolutely love them! They love being able to collaborate with their table partners with ease and working on group projects is a breeze as well! In addition, the tables have helped my students become more organized, as there is no longer storage space under the desk to keep items that are not necessary for classroom assignments. The room is neater and more functional and again, my students LOVE THEM! "Our classroom is so cool" said one of my students. Ours is the only room at the school with such a configuration. My students feel very special and always bring visitors to our room to see!
Thank you again for donating to this project. It has made 22 third graders and their teacher very, very happy!”

My students are in natural cooperative learning groups and are to communicating and collaborating with each other like it is second nature! It really is a wonderful sight to see!
