  • Don't Just Tell Me...Show Me!

    Funded Dec 27, 2017

Thank you so much for your interest in my students and my classroom. We are so very thankful that you chose to support this project.

My students love to share their work by making presentations. As 21st century learners, they have digital portfolios of their work that they are very proud of. Our old LCD projector and document camera was were dying on the vine! They would overheat, turn off in the middle of a presentation and much, much more. The funds you provided allowed me to purchase new equipment, and as you can see by the pictures, my students couldn't be happier!

Thank you again for your generosity. We really do appreciate it.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gaiter

  • Let's Get Organized in 2018!

    Funded Jan 5, 2018

Thank you so much for supporting my students with you donation to this project. We are so very appreciative!

Having all round tables in our classroom is a blessing and a challenge! We love that we are in natural cooperative groups to do projects and other assignments. And, our classroom looks so cool because we are the only class with this table configuration in the whole school! My students love that! The challenge is that because they are not traditional desks, there is no place for them to put their books and other materials they need during the day! Hence, this project and your wonderful donation!

The Seat Sacks you funded are the perfect solution for our classroom! Because they go over the back of the chair, my students are able to have the materials they need at their fingertips! This is such a relief because now they don't have walk across the classroom to their mailboxes for the things they use every day. Yay!

Thank you again for your generosity. My students and I appreciate your kindness.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gaiter

  • Yahoo! Back To School! Fourth Graders Need Materials To Learn!

    Funded Aug 15, 2017

Thank you so much for supporting my students and my classroom!

My students were so happy when the project was funded! They absolutely LOVE using highlighters! These are resources that my students need to annotate and take notes when they read. This is a skill they will need when they are in middle school and beyond. Because of your generosity, they have the tools they need to succeed!

In addition, your help is appreciated again as your donation helped me to provide science notebooks and "brain work" folders for my students. You would be surprised at how the little things make such a big difference in a classroom. Your donation helped me to organize these materials for my students and provide them with activities that will help them succeed!

Thank you again for your generosity and your support.”

  • STEMifying My Classroom!

    Funded Nov 28, 2017

Thank you so much for supporting this project. My students and I are very appreciative of your generosity.

My students love Science! The materials provided by this grant gave my students wonderful opportunities to apply STEM concepts in everyday life!

They were challenged to make balloon cars that could go in a straight line and travel at least 30 meters. The pictures show you just how excited and immersed in the activity they were! Once they made their first model, they were eager to take them home and make improvements! It was a wonderful week of STEM activities!

Thank you so much again for donating to this project. My students had an educational experience they will never forge!”

  • Teaching About Tolerance With Technology

    Funded Sep 19, 2017

My students and I are extremely grateful of your generosity. Thank you so much for funding this project. Having these devices have made such a big difference in my classroom.

We have been doing research about family heritage and culture. My students have been able to use this technology to gain information needed to further their studies. They have learned how to make and produce powerpoint presentations and have shared them with classmates. It is such a delight to watch my students teaching each other about their different cultures and realizing that we are alike in so many different ways. This project has helped my students to see outside of their cultural bubble, so to speak, and has enriched their lives.

Thank you again so very much for supporting this project.”

  • Write On!

    Funded Aug 7, 2017

Thank you so much for donating to this project. My students and I are very grateful.

Having this resource is a bonus for my students. The writing folders not only hold all of their creative pieces, it is also a tool that helps them learn and grow. The folders contain information such as "juicy adjectives", "super writing prompts', and "most frequently misspelled words", just to name a few. The folder is a plethora of informational knowledge that assists them as they compose their writing pieces. And, as they have said: "This is the coolest folder ever!"

Thank you again for your support of my classroom and my students. It is very humbling that you would help people you have never met. My students and appreciate your generosity so very much.”

  • Bigger Class Size! More Technology Needed! 2.0

    Funded Sep 16, 2017

Thank you so much for your donation to this project. My students and I really appreciate your support!

Having a Chromebook for every student is a major goal of mine. Many of my students do not have the financial means to have one at home, so I strive to provide my students with this resource. As my class size grows, we need additional devices. My class grew from 19 last year, to 29 this year. Needless to say, getting this grant funded was a really big help!

My students love using Chromebooks and as 21st century learners are on them every single day. They write reports, check assignments and log on to educational websites as part of their educational experiences. They were very happy and excited when the new device came and eagerly got work!

Thank you again for your support and your generosity.”

Thank you so very much for supporting this project. My students and I are so very appreciative of your generosity,

My students are 21st century learners and are using technology every day in the classroom. They write reports, check homework assignments and log on to educational websites as part of their educational experience. This year my class size grew from 19 last year to 29 this year. The funding from this grant helped me provide my students with more access to complete assignments.

They absolutely love the Chromebooks, and were so excited when they arrived. They do a good job of sharing, but my goal is for every student to have their own device, especially since many of them come from families that cannot afford to provide them.

Thank you so very much for donating to this project. You have made my students very happy and have contributed to the learning environment in my classroom in the most positive way possible . Thanks again for your support and generosity.”

  • I Hear, I Share!

    Funded Aug 15, 2017

Thank you do very much for supporting my students by funding this project. We are very grateful and appreciate your generosity.

Being able to read about other cultures has gone a long way towards helping my students understand themselves and each other. Because of this project they have a new appreciation of the many differences and similarities that we have in our classroom. It has been wonderful watching my students learn about themselves and their culture, and sharing that information with their classmates.

Thank you again, for your wonderful donation. My students and I are humbled that you would be willing to donate funds to help them succeed and learn. It takes a village, and I am so happy that you are part of mine.”

  • New Grade Level, New Needs!

    Funded Jul 27, 2017

Thank you so very much for supporting this project. My students and I are very grateful that you chose to help me secure this resource for them.

School has been in session for about four weeks now. Getting my students organized and settled in has been challenging at best! In my classroom we there aren't the traditional desks with a place for students to put their books and other materials. When they walked into the room for the first time, they were a little stunned? "Where will we put our books, papers and pencils?" they all asked and wondered! I let them ponder that question for a few days, then showed them the backpacks!

They absolutely love them! They keep the most "important" and frequently used items in the backpacks over their chair. When they go to centers or work with a group on the rug, they take the backpack with them and they have all the supplies they need. They have taught them to be organized and to make decisions as to what is important and what is not. Additionally, if I need to change a student's seat, we just grab the backpack and move to another table! No more taking everything out the desk (finding all sorts or surprises) and lugging things across the room. Classroom life is so much easier!

Thank you again for your generosity. I truly appreciate your willingness help my students have the materials they need to succeed.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gaiter

My students are natural born scientists. They are curious about the world around them and are always asking questions. Our school is small--approx. 350 students, which is not the norm in California, with an amazing and supportive principal. My students are eager to learn--their brains are sponges that absorb any and all information given to them. Everything is a potential investigation/experiment to them so I strive to provide my students with as many learning and project based opportunities as possible to enhance the school curriculum and students' intrinsic motivation to learn more. We are a Title 1 school, but because of our size funding levels are not as high as other schools that have higher enrollments. With the help of parent volunteers and other sources, our school thrives and student achievement is high! We're the best little school in CA! We believe that the future lies in our children, that they have virtually unlimited potential and our job is to enable them to reach it.
