Fourth Graders Need Storage!
Funded May 28, 2020Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students by donating to this project.
The resource that you funded is very much needed in this time of the Coronavirus. Students need to have a place to keep their learning materials individually because they are not allowed to share things with each other out of an abundance of caution. The seat sacks are the perfect solution because they will be able to have everything they need at their fingertips. They can store all of their most needed materials and have them ready to use when they need them. They can keep their supplies separate, and keep themselves safe at the same time.
Thank you again so much for your generosity.”

Funded Jan 17, 2020Thank you so much for supporting my students and my classroom by making a donation to this project. My students and I are very grateful!
This book was read during our unit on Black History. It told the story of segregation as see and experienced through the eyes of a child, the author of the story. This insight really helped my students to understand what it was like for African Americans during the time of the civil rights struggles and it taught them that they could make a difference, even though they were children. What a valuable lesson my students learned!
Thank you again for you support. We really appreciate your generosity.”

A Book For Every Student; A Place for Every Book!
Funded Mar 6, 2020Thank you for supporting my students and my classroom with this project. We are very appreciative of your generosity.
With the sign of the times, the book "Only One You" helped me to navigate my students through these turbulent moments in our history. When the book arrived we were thrust into remote/distance learning and my students really didn't understand why and so desperately needed to connect with each other.
We used this book to remind ourselves that we are all unique, but we need each other and need to always love our fellow man. I ended up giving my students a copy of the book for them to keep, with the challenge that they read it to their family members and connect with them.
Thank you again for giving me this opportunity for my students.”

Funded Mar 6, 2020Thank you so much for supporting this project. My students and I really appreciate your generosity.
My students love to read books! They also love to write their own stories and publish "books". The materials that this project provided allowed my students to show what they learned by writing an informative book about the subject we were studying. This is a great way for them to showcase their knowledge and gives them a keepsake, if you will, of lessons learned. My students love making these books, and they love displaying them in our library and in our school library.
Thank you again for your generosity. My students and I are very grateful.”

Funded Dec 25, 2019Thank you so much for supporting my classroom with your generous donation! My students and I really appreciate your kindness!
A project for charge cords may seem a little silly, but the iPads that are in my classroom really needed them! My students are digital natives and use our technology every day. Thus the cords became very worn out and stopped working. We need them not only to charge our devices, but our devices help us to program our Dash robots, which my students absolutely love! When I told them we received new cords, they were so happy and could not wait to charge the iPads and get back to programming the robots!
Thank you so much for your gift. You have made 30 fourth graders very, very happy!”

Funded Feb 2, 2020Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students by donating to this project! It is because of your generosity that I am able to provide my students with the supplemental materials they need to learn and thrive!
I strive to foster the love of reading in my students. That is why I always try to have class sets of literature books for them to enjoy during our reading blocks. While we do have a reading program that is supplied by the school district, there is nothing like reading a novel and having awesome classroom discussions and insights with one another. Infusing this with the district curriculum gives my students a deeper understanding of literary concepts and is not the "boring" mandated curriculum!
Thank you again for your support. My student and I really appreciate it!”

Surfing While Learning!
Funded Feb 24, 2020Thank you so much for supporting my students and our classroom by donating to this project. We really do appreciate your generosity.
Giving my students choice is always a goal of mine. Our classroom does not have traditional desks so when they do group work they can choose where they want to sit and complete tasks. The addition of these surf lap desks gives my students another option to create and explore. They can either work by themselves or in a group, but each student has their own area to hold their computers, notebooks or data sheets. It is a wonderful resource to have in the classroom.
Thank you again for your support.”

A Pencil For Our iPad
Funded Nov 10, 2019Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students by donating to this project!
My students are so tech-savvy! When I first showed them the iPencil they thought it was an additional tool for our Promethean board! When I showed them that it is a tool for our iPads, they were just as excited!
We use technology in many of our whole-class lessons and project work and other related curricula from our iPads to our Promethean board. The students now can use the pencil to display their responses instead of using their fingers, making it so much more clear for folks to read. In addition, they are using the pencil to help them create digital displays and pictures. It is really a great tool!
Thank you again for your donation and for helping me to provide my students with additional resources to learn and grow!”

Funded Oct 20, 2019Thank you so very much for supporting my students and my classroom by donating to this project. Your generosity is so greatly appreciated.
My students LOVE these illuminating microscopes! The first time they used them their little minds were blown! Being able to see objects with 30x magnification is really amazing. This tool has given my students insights that they may have never, ever had! They are examining and observing EVERYTHING within their reach and I love watching them explore and grow!
Thank you again for helping me provide this wonderful learning tool to my students.”

It is amazing what a pack of Sharpie markers does for a classroom! I placed a pack on each of their desks so it would be waiting for them when they arrived in the morning. At first, they just looked around and wondered what was going on and why the markers were on their desks. When I told them that they were a gift from donors and that they were theirs, they screamed with delight! They were so very happy and so very grateful! Immediately they wanted to use them on a book project they were working on! Of course, I said yes!!!
Thank you again for your generosity and your support. You really have made 30 4th graders very, very happy!”
