  • I Need Dirt to Make My Lunch!

    Funded Jul 4, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my students and my classroom by donating to this project! We are very grateful of your generosity!

My students are so happy to be back on campus! With this gift we will be able to revive the learning garden beds that are right outside our classroom door! In this space we will grow plants and vegetables and use it as a place to read and conduct research! My students are excited to begin the process and hopefully we will have something sprouting really soon!

Thanks again for helping me bring this project to life for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gaiter

  • Resources Needed For My Roomers and My Zoomers, Pt2.

    Funded May 5, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and my students with your donation to this project. Your generosity is truly appreciated!

This past year has been challenging to say the least. Teaching and learning in a remote environment was difficult at times, but my students persevered! Having the resource you funded helped me to give my students work packets and materials that were colorful and inviting. I was able to give them a much needed break from being on the screen giving them activities that were hands on and allowed them to be more creative.

Thank you again for your generous donation.”

  • Hands-on Resources For My Roomers and My Zoomers!

    Funded Apr 19, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my students and my classroom with your donation to this project! We really appreciate your generosity.

Teaching during a pandemic has been extremely challenging. Having the digital resources to teach concepts to my students was important and at times difficult to manage. Because of your generosity I was able to secure supplemental lessons and activities from Teacher Pay Teachers, a site that provides curated lessons in just about all subjects. Being able to purchase and use materials that have been already created took a lot of stress off of this teacher, and provided my students with activities and experiences that they loved and enjoyed. I am grateful that I was able to use your gift to help my students learn.

    Thank you again.”

  • Yahoo! Back to School Pt. 2

    Funded Mar 28, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my students and our classroom by donating to this project. We really appreciate your generosity.

This really has been a school year like no other. With all the Covid restrictions in place it was a challenge to provide my students with exciting hands-on experiences. Because of your donation we were able to revive the garden boxes that are right outside our classroom and plant seeds and watch them grow! My students were so excited to use the tools provided with this grant to nurture the seeds they planted. Many of them have never experienced anything like this before.

Thank you for helping me to provide this experience for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gaiter

  • Yahoo, Back to School Pt. 3

    Funded Jun 8, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to this project. My students and I really appreciate your support!

After this unprecedented school year, we are so excited to be going back to school face to face! There are still some restrictions in place and having this project fund will give my students the basic materials they need to start the school year. Through this. project I will create individual student materials packets for them the have at their desk to use for most of their school work and projects. Doing this will help me navigate a smooth transition back to the classroom.

Thank you again for your generosity.”

  • I See You, Can You See Me?

    Funded May 6, 2021

This has been an unprecedented school year. Remote teaching, distance learning...and everything in between. We started off the year fully remote and transitioned to a hybrid model (half of the students online and half in the classroom) in April. My students wanted to stay "connected" as much as possible, so the webcam you funded made all the difference in the world.

With this technology I was able to project my entire classroom for the students who were learning at home. They could see what we were doing in class and mirror the activities (as best they could) at home. Being able to do this made it feel like we were all in the same room together, not just camera boxes on a screen. This also made my "Zoomers" feel like they were part of the classroom, seeing the bulletin boards, desks and our learning garden...you name it! It really did make a huge difference in the moral of my class.

Thank you again for your support. We really appreciate it.”

  • Toner Needed for Student Work

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you for supporting my students and my classroom by donating to this project!

This has been a year like no other. At the blink of an eye I had to completely change the way I teach, and my students had to change the way they learn. Neither one of us was prepared for this, but we adjusted and are making it through. Your donation to this project allowed me to have the ability make educational work packets for my students the that were colorful and meaningful. Having to do everything on a computer was challenging at times, and because I received this resource, I was able to give my students a much needed break from sitting in front of a computer screen.

Thank you again for your generosity and helping me and my students navigate and succeed in this most unprecedented school year.”

  • Books On Wheels!

    Funded Jul 11, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting my students and our classroom with your generous donation. We are very appreciative of your generosity!

CDC protocols state that students may not share materials and supplies. That is a very hard thing to accomplish in an elementary classroom. The bookcase your donation provided lets me keep materials my students need separate, each having their own cubby/box with the things they need. At this time we are not using the case for books, but for our classroom garden supplies. It really does come in handy as my students store their trowels, seeds, notebooks and other supplies in them. They use them every day when they tend to the raised beds that are outside our classroom.

Thank you so much! Next year, when things are hopefully back to normal, the case will see books again! Please know that we are putting it to great use right now and are very grateful to have it.”

  • Keep Our Desk Organized!

    Funded Dec 28, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to this project and supporting my students and our classroom. We really appreciate your generosity!

Teaching and learning during a pandemic has not been easy. My students and I had to learn new technology platforms and develop rapport with each other in very different ways than we all were used too. Being able to provide my students with supplemental materials that they could use at home during this time was invaluable. Your donation to this project made that possible.

As we move to a hybrid model, the resources you provided through your donation is helping us to stay organized and keep our materials right where we need them, seeing as CDC protocols state that we cannot share supplies. Thank you for helping us navigate these new waters.”

  • Resources Needed for Remote Learning

    Funded Dec 28, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting my students and my classroom by donating to this project! We really do appreciate your generosity!

The pandemic certainly changed all walks of life, especially in the classroom. My students and I have been remote learning ever since last March and it has definitely been a challenge--good and not so good.

However, because of you and you generosity, I have been able to provide resources for my students that kept them engaged and interested in learning. The supplemental materials provided by this project were hands-on and project based, two strategies I kept alive and well in my classroom, even if we were not physically together in the classroom.

Thank you so much for your support. You helped to make a challenging school year fun and exciting for my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Gaiter

My students are natural born scientists. They are curious about the world around them and are always asking questions. Our school is small--approx. 350 students, which is not the norm in California, with an amazing and supportive principal. My students are eager to learn--their brains are sponges that absorb any and all information given to them. Everything is a potential investigation/experiment to them so I strive to provide my students with as many learning and project based opportunities as possible to enhance the school curriculum and students' intrinsic motivation to learn more. We are a Title 1 school, but because of our size funding levels are not as high as other schools that have higher enrollments. With the help of parent volunteers and other sources, our school thrives and student achievement is high! We're the best little school in CA! We believe that the future lies in our children, that they have virtually unlimited potential and our job is to enable them to reach it.
