  • Help Us Leap To Success

    Funded Apr 20, 2012

To all that have contributed, you have helped to leap my class to success. With the incorporation of the Leap Pads and Tag pens into the classroom, the students are very eager to learn. They have gained so much knowledge from the material. They have also jumped levels in their reading. The Leap Pad provided another center for early finishers which have kept them involved and interested while I worked with other students. Thank you so much for your motivation in contributing to this project. It is greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jackson

  • The Bare Necessities

    Funded Dec 10, 2011

You have done wonders! Thank you so much for your support in my project. You have helped my classroom look more cohesive and functional.

With your support, you have made my math center, one that the children can go to and readily get materials that are needed. They are organized with labels and pictures so that the math manipulative's are right at their finger tips. Having these organizational tools make math fun for my students.

The books and the books pouches have encouraged my students to want to read more. They have a sturdy bag that they can bring home with out having to worry if the bag is going to rip. They are also able to bring home more books to keep at their finger tips. Most of my students are reading now at a second grade level because they are able to bring home the books from the library to read. You helped them reach that goal.

Thank you so much for the help. My classroom, my students and myself appreciate your donations. ”

    Ms. Jackson

  • Magnifying Our Scientific Experience

    Funded Dec 2, 2010

You have really magnified my students scientific experience. I work with a diverse population of students ranging from general education, special education, bilingual and bilingual special education. These microscopes have helped out tremendously in expanding my students knowledge in the biological aspect.

So many of the children in my school did not know what a cell was. I showed them a picture of a cell and it was not tangible enough. But once the students were actually able to take an onion cell and a cheek cell and place it under the microscope themselves, that image became a reality. All of my 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students have taken one step closer to becoming little scientist.

Thank you for making this possible. You have made it possible for me to continue to have these microscopes influence the minds of my future students and enhance my future lessons. Thank you for magnifying my students scientific experience. ”

  • We Need Paper!

    Funded Feb 15, 2010

Thanks a million!!!! You don't know how much you have impacted the whole school community. When we were going through a paper crisis, the money you donated to get us paper brought us through. Not only I thank you but my fellow colleagues also thank you. With this paper, the students were able to type and print their reports. They were able to have worksheets created for them to use while we practiced for the state test. And the copies for the simulation exams were able to be completed in a timely manner, so that we could train our students to pass the test. That you so very much for your support. We could not thank you enough. ”

  • A Comfy Place To Fall Into A Book

    Funded Dec 25, 2009

Thank you so much for donating the bean bags to the classroom. You have made my library one of the favorite places in the classroom. The beanbags add life to the classroom and attract my students to the many wonders that can be found in books.

In the library, the students relax. They open up a book. And they drift away into far away lands. In the library, the students share stories about books that they read. They also talk about the books that they think their classmates should read. I greatly appreciate the donation. Now you have made the library fun for this class and my future classes.

    Thank you so so much.”

  • Pass the Glitter! I'm Ready to Create My Masterpiece!

    Funded Dec 17, 2009

Thank you so much for your donations. You have made a lot of things possible in my classroom. We now have glitter, glue and many other things to complete art projects. Art is not always easy to accomplish in a 4th grade classroom. They are always preparing for tests and learning new material. But they are not always allowed to complete art projects. Now actually having art supplies in my classroom, I am able to incorporate art into my lessons so that they can relax a little and not be so stressed.

It is hard in our community to get the supplies that are necessary for the class. I am grateful to donors like you who are making it possible for my class to receive materials so that we can make and enjoy art which is necessary for all students. Once again, thank you so much! ”

  • Let's Play Jeopardy!

    Funded Nov 23, 2009

Your donations has now made my classroom hungry! Hungry for learning that is. My students love the Jeopardy game. They ask me when we are going to play it again every single day. If I had 8 hours in a school day, I would definitely use this game 2-3 times per week to reinforce learning. But since I don't I try to use it, 2 Fridays out of the month so that I can reinforce what I am teaching in class.

This game has been a great tool in my classroom. I see the anticipation in their eyes as they wait to see the next question. I can see the motivation to work as a group to solve the problems. Their team building skills have increased greatly. I also have seen their motivation to learn new material in class.

School is no longer boring to my kids. They look forward to coming to school. They want to know what Ms. J is going to be teaching that day. And for that, I thank you so much! Your donations have helped me to reach my goal of motivating the students. Now it is time for me to help motivate the others in my school, by sharing the gift you have donated to my class. I will do this by creating a Jeopardy tournament with other teachers and students in my school.

Your donation has not only helped my class. It is now spreading to other classrooms. Thank you so much. ”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jackson

  • Which Page Comes Next!

    Funded Dec 9, 2009

Once again thank you so much. You should have seen the sparkle that shimmered in their eyes when they saw me walking with the box full of books. My students were so eager to see what was inside the box. So I opened it right in front of them and showed them the many surprises which were held within. You have helped out my class so much.

After the books were organized and labeled, I made the books readily available for my class. The students lined up at my desk just to have the chance to skim through the books and pick out one that was interesting to them. I could not have asked for more. My students were eager to start reading the new books! Reading finally became interesting to them again. The students loved all of the new titles and even started to look to see what book they were going to read next.

I have never seen my kids more eager to pick up a book and read. They are now completing all of their book reports and are starting to make improvements in their reading levels. With materials that are closer to their reading levels and their level of enjoyment, it makes it easier for the class to fall into a good book to read.

Thank you so much for your donations. You have helped to turn my classroom around. ”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jackson

  • We Can't Hear!!!

    Funded Feb 19, 2009

Thank you so much for donating to this project.  You have truly impacted the dynamics of the class.  The listening center has made reading enjoyable for my students.  Like I stated in my proposal my students had a great want for a listening center in the classroom.  Most of my students have a hard time reading books by themselves.  But now with the listening centers, my students are understanding the stories that are in front of them.  The students are enjoying the selections that were sent to the classroom.  And are now even starting to ask for more.

One of my greatest success stories is that one of my students has made great strides in reading.  In the beginning of the year, she was reading on a first grade level.  It was hard trying to teach the material in the class because she was having a difficult time understanding the words on the page.  Once we received the listening center books and cds, she has steadily approached that center.  She has read two books from the listening center and is now reading more books on her own.  The student that was once at a first grade reading level is now reading on a high third grade level.  This I consider to be a great accomplishment.  Thank you very much.

Without you, I would not have been able to impact the students view of reading with out your help.  Once again thank you and I hope that you will continue to donate in the future.

  • Too Many Bugs On The Rug!!!

    Funded Dec 17, 2008

Thank you so much for funding this project. I am sure that the students in my class will appreciate the new rug that will be entering the classroom. Now the students will have a place to learn, socialize and enjoy reading. You have helped to spark the importance of education back into my students. Thank you once again”
