  • Transitional And Dual Language Kindergarten

    Funded Sep 7, 2013

Molding dough, paint, dry erase markers and manipulative toys are truly miracles. The things you have provided for my students will give them the ability to gain small motor development, learn letter formation, names and sounds, have some fun and develop their creativity. Thank you very much for helping me to make the first school experience that these students have a better one. The markers were put into use immediately after opening the box, and when they realized we'd received new paint stampers a cheer of "yea!" could be heard across the campus.

Thank you again, your generosity and kindness are much appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ramirez

  • Print, Write, Small Motor Develop

    Funded Apr 22, 2013

Your generous gift has arrived and been put to immediate use. The students in my class were super excited to learn a package had arrived for them! Their smiles and curiosity prompted a game of deduction. What could be in the box?

Since we're learning about sea animals and animals that lived long ago, some guessed dinosaurs or sharks. Their classmates reminded them that these options were impossible. There was disappointment for a few minutes.

When we opened the box, the frowns turned to smiles and applause! They could write and draw about sharks and dinosaurs.

Thank you very much. My students and I are very grateful.”

  • Cute Kindergarten Kids Need Stuff

    Funded Oct 18, 2012

My students were very excited to see brand new dry erase markers. Students use them often, Sometimes I have trouble keeping up with their request for more. The pencils are used as prizes for meeting learning goals. The set we received has such a large assortment of designs that all tastes can be accommodated. Learning numbers to 100 is a new standard for kindergarten this year. Yikes! The number puzzle you provided will provide lots of time to practice with numbers, amounts and counting. Thank you very much for being so generous!”

  • Cut, Paste and Learn. Oh My.

    Funded Jan 31, 2012

Thank you very much for providing my students with materials that are age appropriate and fun for them to use. When the package arrived in our class we were running low on supplies as basic as glue. Your generosity has made it possible for the creativity and learning to continue.

Our kindergarten class is learning to write sentences using high frequency words in both English and Spanish. The crayons, paper, glue, scissors and paint supplies that your donations funded will make the publishing of their writing even more vibrant and personal.

    ¡Muchas gracias!”

  • Kindergarten, Here We Come!

    Funded Nov 19, 2011

My students were super excited to see the packages from Nasco that arrived in our classroom. Once we opened the packages, and saw all of the wonderful materials that were contained within, they just about exploded with anticipation.

The play dough was put to use immediately. Students couldn't wait to spell out high frequency words. It's much more fun to do so with magnetic letters. While anxious to begin painting, the students are brain storming ideas of how to best use the dot paint. Their creativity is flowing with just the thought of new paint and brushes. Recieving materials that they could handle, use, and learn with was truly inspirational and educational.

Your generous donations have helped my students learn, create and play like 5 year Olds should. My kindergarten students are very appreciative, and anxious to play and grow while using the materials you provided for them. Thank you very much. ¡ Muchisimas gracias! ”

  • My Kingdom For A Book...King Book Series

    Funded May 13, 2011

Working as a waiver basic teacher means that I provide my students core curriculum in their home language.  Often times these children speak no English at all.  By providing them primary language instruction they are able to meet state and  district standards for their grade level without falling behind due to language. The thesauruses you provided will expand their vocabulary in Spanish.

The English story books will insure that they're also moving forward in gaining literacy in the language of their new country.  My students and I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity. ”

  • Grab A Seat

    Funded Apr 1, 2011

The rug you provided for my classroom was very much appreciated.  Students entered the classroom and were welcomed by a beautiful sight.  Their eyes were met by a beautiful rainbow of colors and woven animals.      They were easily able to find their assigned spot on the rug thanks to the lovely colored tiles. Once seated they took notice of the cute and animated animals woven into the rug.  They quickly set out to find the animal that began with the same letter as their name, or the name of a friend,

The new rug makes our classroom seem brand new.  We're able to sit in comfort and take in all that is shared between teacher, classmate and students. Thank you again for your generosity and kindness.&nbsp”
