Sensory Filled Environment
Funded Jan 22, 2022Thank you again for your support. My students have loved their new materials! The students have been able to have a wider variety of sensory toys, fidgets, and other materials. It has helped them each to have a relaxing moment during their school day to regulate themselves better before moving onto the next task.
With these materials that you have graciously helped us purchases, I have been able to create visual schedules and task boxes for my students. These visual schedules for each child provide a visual prompt to assist with transitions during their day and what they can expect next. It has also been used as a reward system.
I have also been able to create independent task boxes for some of my students. They can access these during the day to have an alternate activity to do when the other is either too advanced or too simple. This allows their little brains to continue to grow at the pace they need it to. Thank you again for all of the support! It has been very appreciated and put to good use.”
With gratitude,

Funded Oct 23, 2020Thank you so much for your love and support in helping me buy supported chairs for my little preschoolers.
My students are using these chairs on a daily basis. It has helped them focus on the whole group instruction given without having to focus on how to sit appropriately on the rug. My students love sitting in their chairs and are more attentive to the teacher. Some of my students do not have the physical strength to sit criss cross on the rug and frequently move from sitting to standing. With these chairs, they are able to sit comfortably with their feet planted on the floor to allow an easier process of standing up.
When we first brought in the chairs, all of the students in the room were excited to try them out! It has now become a special thing in the class. Even when the assigned spots on the rug change, my students are able to adapt quicker knowing they still have the same chair and can find it easily.
Words do not express my gratitude for the donations and support in helping my students be able to learn better and more comfortably with the flex seating option of supported chairs.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Douglas
