If I Got Music, I Got Rhythm!
Funded Nov 28, 2017I cannot thank you enough for your kind gesture. My students are very happy that they are now able to use instruments during music and movement time. They were very excited when I showed them the brand new instruments that were donated to our class. Many of my students are non-verbal but they were able to show their excitement with gestures, smiles, and actions. My students will continue to use the instruments during our music and movement time but we will also incorporate them into our free choice play time. This will give them the opportunity to become more familiar with the instruments. Again thank you for your help and support. You are the best!”

Technology Can Provide a Great Learning Tool
Funded Aug 11, 2017We use the IPAD to format letters in an ABC app. We also take pictures and videos of the students when they are interacting with their classmates. This helps us show their parents the progress their child is making. For some of the students, we use the soundboard to help them communicate their needs. My students enjoy working on apps like Starfall, music, and the ABC app. They like being able to see different activities. For music and movement I use the IPAD to display the songs and videos we will be doing during class. Being able to see and hear the music helps the students follow along with the beats and movements of the songs.
I have three students who love our new IPAD and continue to show positive behavior to get the opportunity to use the IPAD during free choice play time. Everything about the IPAD is very exciting to my students because before we received the IPAD some of my students had no access to an IPAD at home. Thank you very much for your sweet gestures. I am pleased and very thankful to have the opportunity to share this IPAD with my students.
You are the best,

Funded Aug 5, 2017When my students first saw the easel they were very excited. I placed some magnet letters and they explored the easel and loved feeling the felt board. We started using it for our question of the day. I have little people magnets where I write each students name and they are able to place they, little person, wherever they believe it should go. Some of my students need hand over hand assistance while others can independently place their little person on the correct section.
We are very thankful for all your support. Your generous action has helped my students get a better understanding of everyday activities we conduct in class. For example for the question of the day they are able to place their magnet person wherever they decide. Instead of pointing to ignoring the answer they can independently decide where they want to put their answer.
Next month I will begin using the easel's flannel board during our literacy activities. This will give my students the opportunity to retell stories and use objects that they will connect with the story. I will use different characters that the students and I will be able to place on the flannel board. Again I want to thank you for all your support and for giving my students the opportunity to use this new easel board.”
