  • New Year, New Supplies

    Funded Jan 18, 2019

Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. My students loved the new books you added to our classroom library. Caps for Sale was a big hit during the read aloud. I was so excited to read them a classic book from my childhood that they will now appreciate. The students LOVED having 2 copies of the "Dog Man Unleashed" as well as "Starring Grace" to add to "Amazing Grace", a class favorite. The privacy partitions were a plus because they didn't have to use & borrow from another class or make it out of file folders.

Thank you so much for the donations for my students in the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. AlexandraC

  • STEM Storytellers at Work

    Funded Jul 19, 2016

Getting prepared for being a first year teacher was a journey! Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom, it has been a great addition to my student's learning. These scholars use technology in their learning and to also enhance their skills. I've used the iPad mini as a station to engage my struggling readers through their love of technology by using educational apps, audio books, and even free children's eBooks!

My goal is to push all of my students to be computer literate at a young age so they can be prepared for their future in this tech-evolving world. My students aren't exposed to much technology, so I strive to give them the opportunity to make experiences with it.

My students love the fairy tale wands that are included in the Fairy Tales STEAM Kit! They all want to be able to hold one while they answer the different questions that's written on them. This was a BIG help during the beginning of the school year when the students were learning about the Elements of a Story (setting, problem, character). These wands prompted the students to want to answer the question because they were holding a special star.

My students and I appreciate your generosity to our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. AlexandraC

I have 30 wonderful, caring, intelligent, fun, and excited students in my class this school year. My students have interests in technology, engineering, and exploring new skills. Our school is located in an urban environment and is the heart of the neighborhood. Most of my students come from households of working families which calls for students to have to assist their parents in various ways. My students have learned to very caring, selfless and responsible at such a young age. I will always try to create unique in-class opportunities for their personal experiences that help them grow as successful students.
