  • Grade 2 and the Little Old Lady Who

    Funded Nov 29, 2023

Thank you so much for allowing me to provide meaningful Valentine's Day gifts for my students. Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays and I always aim to make my students feel extra special around that time. The students loved receiving their own copy of a book from a popular series. The Valentine's Day themed fidget were a great addition. I appreciate your willingness to invest in my students more than you'll ever know. Please continue to support our class or any local school in your community. Your donations have been a great relief for me. Thank you so much!”

  • Christmas Gifts

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for allowing me to provide meaningful Christmas gifts for my students. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays and I always aim to make my students feel extra special around that time. Each student returned to me thanking them for their own pair of headphones and computer mouse to use when interacting with their technology. They also loved receiving their own copy of a book from a popular series. The Christmas themed fidgets were a perfect addition to the gift bags you provided. Thank you so much for supporting me and my students!”

  • Basic Supplies for Unique Students

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Words cannot explain how blessed I feel to have these supplies.Though inflation is effecting adults financially, I did not want my students learning to be impacted. The students used their scissors to complete activities to support their foundational learning. The presharpened pencils save SO much time. However, knowing we have a brand new quality pencil sharpener to use makes it even sweeter. This was truly a blessing and right on time! Thank you for your continuous support of my profession and field and of course the students and their community.”

  • Reading Rug for Reading Room!

    Funded Aug 13, 2022

My classroom feels complete with the beautiful rug you've donated! My students describe it as "fluffy" and "comfortable". They enjoy having a space to read their self selected books from the classroom library. A rug is the centerpiece of the classroom and I am so grateful to have one this year. It really ties the room together and creates an inviting atmosphere for the students. Students spend most of their time at school, so I appreciate you making their home away from home comfortable. Please continue to donate to our projects or your local school to support the teachers during this time. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!”

  • Egg Hunt Candy

    Funded Mar 28, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation to make the 2nd grader's Easter Egg Hunt so memorable. The school asks for candy donations from the families but sometimes it's not enough to go around. Your donations ensured that there were more than enough eggs that had "the good candy" for the students to grab. They were so excited and filled with joy that there wasn't a limit put on the amount of eggs they picked up. Please continue to donate to our projects or your local school to support the teachers and students during this time. Your generation is greatly appreciated.”

  • Improve Online Instruction

    Funded Jan 19, 2022

These books have been such a blessing to my professional development! They were all highly recommended by various instructional designers and e-Learning developers that I follow on social media or listen to on podcasts. Though we are back to traditional learning in a classroom setting, the skills needed during online learning are now integrated into the traditional classrooms to make an easy transition if needed. I've already finished The eLearning Designer's Handbook and Design for How People Learn and have also applied some newly learned skills into my instruction for students and other teachers. I really appreciate your donation to me and the benefit of my students.”

  • New Books for New Levels

    Funded Oct 20, 2021

My students are already rapidly growing as readers! I've noticed their love of reading become more abundant as they find relevant and engaging books. As my students grow as readers, their reading level increases. Some of my students are already in my chapter books as 2nd graders!

New chapter books definitely motivated my students to continue to expand their love of reading. Our classroom library is very popular thanks to past donations of popular books. Our school library schedules us to come in every other week, so having a great range of books in the class that they can read at any time is a plus!”

  • Financial Literacy Fun!

    Funded Oct 26, 2021

Money is always engaging and fun for the kids to learn. These books were a great support to my instruction. I found these awesome books on another teacher's blog about books that help teach money. Counting money is an important skill for children to learn to use throughout adulthood. The jump rope has also been fun to use outside as we count our skips at recess. It helps with skip counting, exercise and learning a new skill. No need to line up by the pencil sharpener and lose instructional time because having the pre-sharpened pencils you donated are such a great help!”

I have 30 wonderful, caring, intelligent, fun, and excited students in my class this school year. My students have interests in technology, engineering, and exploring new skills. Our school is located in an urban environment and is the heart of the neighborhood. Most of my students come from households of working families which calls for students to have to assist their parents in various ways. My students have learned to very caring, selfless and responsible at such a young age. I will always try to create unique in-class opportunities for their personal experiences that help them grow as successful students.
