  • The BFG!

    Funded Jan 28, 2025

Thank you again for your support with my project for the second grade students. The students were very moved and suprised to see that there are others out there willing to give to a bunch of second graders.

The students, as much as they are grateful, are unsure about the book. They are conflicted about the story, some deem it is boring. I've reminded them that patience is important in reading a story and needing to wait for it to develop.

As per usually, I have several students who enjoy any book that they are given. They love how each of them own the book now and will treasure it, even if they struggle with the contents of the book. They can feel the love of strangers giving them opportunities to own a book of their own.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brauch

  • Garden Fun!

    Funded Jul 8, 2024

Thank you for donating towards the garden project. The students have been very motivated and excited to see this project come alive. They loved getting the chance to get their hands dirty as the soil was being put into the garden boxes and they got to move the soil around to fill in the box. We've had to have lines set up so everyone can have the chance to water the boxes daily. This has been a big hit and everyone is actively involved with making sure our plants are watered.

The parents are very happy to be a part of this project. They have helped support our students by sending in various plants that are appropriate to plant for the upcoming winter season. Our students are excited to see the seedlings growing and cannot wait for the seeds to start sprouting. Everything is so exciting here with our garden!”

  • Creating Fun in the Classroom!

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thank you for your support for this project. My students loved the Play-Doh, markers, and paints. Art is my students' jam. Having tons of different art opportunities made learning fun and exciting.

Without you, my students would not have the same learning opportunities that they did this school year with all the support and love you provided by donating!

Please continue to donate to others schools and classes so other students will have the same opportunities that my students have with your awesome support!”

  • Movers and Shakers

    Funded Nov 21, 2023

Thank you for supporting my class with this project. As a teacher of young students, I believe that students need to learn about important people who have shaped our country.

My students will have the chance to see that everyone can have a huge impact on each of our lives. It is exciting to show each child that everyone can have a dream and that dreams can come true. Walt Disney was big on dreams and helping others.

The books also show that it doesn't matter what color skin you have or if you are a boy or a girl, anybody can make a difference!

    Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brauch

  • School Supplies!

    Funded Aug 4, 2023

Thank you for supporting my project. Having the necessary school supplies is very important for starting a school year. My students use crayons and pencils on a daily basis when they do their different activities. We use glue a little less often at the beginning of the year, but they have had a few fun projects.

Being that it is the beginning of the year, my students were unaware at first that these supplies were purchased by an awesome donor! The parents of the students were more excited about the generous donation of the donor to get these supplies to our classroom. They send a very happy and excited THANK YOU! for helping us out.

We will continue to use the crayons every day, along with the pencils. No major projects are scheduled but these are necessary supplies in our everyday classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brauch

  • Making Stronger Readers

    Funded Feb 20, 2023

Thank you for the donations to make this project come alive. My students love activities that they can do independently. They pride themselves on being able to figure out how to manipulate all the file folder games that we have purchased.

When my students first saw all the new games in the classroom, their eyes lit up. They could barely contain themselves as I spent the time explaining how each activity was done! Even the students who were not quite up for the task begged for the activity and with a partner were able to manipulate and complete anything that was handed to them.

The next steps within the classroom are to continue working with the new games and keep challenging all the students to try new activities that really push them to new levels.”

  • Learning to Be Independent

    Funded Jul 1, 2022

Thank you for supporting my class project. My students love having the opportunity to work out of their binders. The binders allow my students time to work independently while I work with small groups of students. Each student has activities, under the various color tabs, for what they need to learn. During small group time, students use the tablets to practice writing letters or even writing their names.

After I put in the tabs and work under the various tabs, I was able to share with the students the supplies. They were excited and very talkative about where they came from and what they were going to be used for. A quick explanation about the wonderful donors and how each contributed to making this project possible, students were even more excited to use the binders!

As the year progresses and students learn and grow, activities inside the binders will change as well. I will add items that will enhance their learning and encourage them to keep learning. Students love every opportunity to be independent and not constantly be told what to do and how to do it by adults.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Brauch

  • Classroom Supplies!!

    Funded Dec 15, 2021

Thank you for the wonderful classroom supplies. The students love the magnetic little people. Every morning they move their name to answer the question of the day. The question of the day is a great way for students to think about what the item is and if they like it or not. Believe it or not, it had us doing a taste test of a lime!!

My students have also enjoyed using the wipeable sentence strips. This gives them opportunities to practice writing sentences! For those who are not ready to write sentences, they can practice writing their names or even writing different letters that they are practicing for the day.

The magnetic line paper and the chart paper has been a wonderful addition to the classroom. The magnetic line paper is used for boardmath time and the students love the different stories that are written on it. The chart paper allows us to make lots of anchor charts and graphing moments!”

  • Mini Teachers!

    Funded Oct 27, 2021

Thank you for supporting my students and I with this project. The students love the easel. They have each had a moment to come up and write something on the board and share with the class what they have written.

When my students first saw the easel, they were excited. This was a surprise to the whole class. As I explained to them what they were going to be able to do with this, the excitement continued to grow. They all wanted to be first to write on the board and see how it worked.

So after all the students have an opportunity to write things on the board, we will be using it for teaching moments. The students will be given multiple opportunities to write words and sentences and share with the class what they wrote about. Students will play the role of the teacher, explaining to their classmates their thinking and why they choose to write about that topic.”
