Approximately 95% of our students are English Learners, 30% have qualified for free and reduced lunch, and 9% are receiving special education services. They are learning how to read, but the greatest obstacle I face is teaching students how to actually read without visuals or a physical connection. I have 24 eager kindergarten students who love to question, explore, learn, read, sing, and play.
