It's Science!
Funded Sep 21, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity. Due to curriculum changes, our school has very little science equipment and resources despite the required science test our students need to take in the spring. These resources will help us have fun, interactive science experiences while building the knowledge needed for the test.
The students were so excited when they saw the materials because they love hands-on experiences. Seeing the materials inspired them and really got them thinking about the different ways to explore the world around them. The car tracks are their favorite for conducting inquiry activities about physics and how they can make the cars run fast and go further.
I can never thank you enough for what you have donated to us!”

Planting Right Along
Funded May 6, 2022Thank you so much for your generous gift to our class. The materials provided will be used for years to come and bring even more children a wonderful opportunity to learn about plants.
As you can see in some of the pictures, we used the materials to conduct several experiments about how light, water, and soil can affect plants.
The students were so excited about the materials and all the different experiments they would be able to choose from, particularly, in the Regrow lab. We were even able to sprout an avocado seed which was fascinating (and still growing in the classroom several months later!).
Thank you again for your kindness and for helping our students partake in this special learning experience.”

Funded Nov 5, 2021Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom. The materials we received have been invaluable as we continue to go to school during the pandemic and have helped to keep us all safe and happy. The students love to use the broom and dust pan to help tidy up the room and it is also a very good exercise for their gross motor skills. Thanks to the paper towels, student no longer need to run to the bathroom to get paper towel after washing their hands and it has let us continue with instruction faster after hand washing routines.
Thank you again for your continued support.”

Funded Feb 24, 2021These resources are really great. The students refer to them as "puzzles" and while they look at it as a game, they are actually building great problem solving and literacy skills. These resources were great for end-of-the-year activities when they could do quiet independent work and then also self-check their answers by matching the pictures on the puzzles.
Our class practices independent reading every day. Students read their own books based on their interests and reading levels. These new materials fit well into that routine because students were able to work on specific skills based on their needs.
The entire group of in-person learners was able to benefit from and enjoy these materials. They asked to read and use them every afternoon and it was a very fun experience.
Thank you so much!”

Funded Sep 16, 2020Thank you so much for supporting yet another project. I wanted to let you know how the headphones have impacted our classroom environment. Thanks to your donations I am able to provide headphones to every student who comes to the classroom.
They use the headphones to do computer activities and most importantly to attend virtual sessions with our speech therapist and occupational therapist while they are at school.
The design of the headphones is perfect for helping block out background noise and helping students focus on their sessions. The students love how comfortable they are and they are a great size for them. No more sliding off the back of their heads or sliding off their ears!
Thank you so much for your support! I am forever in awe of how generous everyone has been!”

Funded Sep 16, 2020Wow! If there is one thing my students are thankful for this year it is probably this play-dough. They are so excited to use it and all I hear all day is "Can we use the play-doh?!". It has come in very handy on rainy days and for times when we aren't able to get a break for recess during the day. The students love exploring all the tools and finding new ways to use them. All the different movements have been very beneficial for many of the students with fine motor and sensory.
The class and I are so thankful for everyone's generosity! You are all amazing!”

Funded Aug 14, 2020All of the materials purchased for this project have been so helpful in making the classroom an organized and safe place. The supplies for students were enough so each student can have their own individual sets of pencils and other hands-on materials for crafts and learning.
I am especially grateful for the file boxes to keep student work separated and neat. As you can see from the pictures I have fallen behind a little bit on my filing. oops! The students also recently enjoyed using the popsicle sticks to practice making tally marks.
The school year has been turbulent and we have already had to switch to fully remote instruction twice. But your generosity has helped the class make it thought!
Thank you so much for everything!”

Funded Sep 16, 2020Thanks to your donations I was able to create individual lego sets for 16 separate student kits. I added in some of my own personal legos and used containers and lego base pieces I found at the dollar store. As you can see, it made nice little boxes that are numbered and ready for students to use.
Today was the first day of in-person school for my students. They were confused and disappointed when they learned they would not be able to use the playground for recess as they had last year or see friends in the gym and cafeteria.
However, they all immediately lit up when they were able to take out their legos and go through them for the first time. Hearing them all exclaim "WOW! I GOT A DOOR!", "The windows really open!!" really made me smile and showed made me feel how valuable everyone's generosity was for my class.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for your help with this project.”
