  • Order in the Classroom: Organizing for Success

    Funded Dec 28, 2024

I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of book bins and clear plastic bins for my third grade classroom. These thoughtful additions have already made such a positive impact in my classroom, and I'm excited to share how they're being put to use!

The black book bins have been a huge hit with my students. Each partner pair now has their own designated bin to store their literacy mentor texts, which has helped foster a sense of ownership over their reading materials. Having their books neatly stored and easily accessible in their own bins has allowed them to focus more on reading and less on searching for their materials. Students can grab a bin and instantly begin reading/working without any distractions.

The clear plastic bins for supply storage have been a game-changer for our classroom organization as well. We use them to store everything from extra glue sticks to art supplies. We always need extra supplies on hand as we run out throughout the school year, but storage and organization of these "extras" has always been a battle.

Now that supplies are easily accessible and neatly stored, we spend less time hunting for materials and more time working on projects.

When my students first saw their book bins, they were so excited! The book bins were a big hit because they love the idea of having their own space for their books. They were also thrilled with how organized everything looked in the clear plastic bins. It was as if their learning environment had been transformed, and it definitely boosted their enthusiasm for learning.

Thank you again for your generosity. The difference you've made in our classroom is truly invaluable, and I'm grateful for your support!”

  • Clean Desks and Noses

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations of tissues and seat sacks. Your contributions have made a tangible difference in our classroom, and I am excited to share the positive impact they've had on my students.

The seat sacks have been an absolute game-changer! We've organized the classroom in a way that allows each student to store their materials, books, and even personal items in their own space. This has not only helped with tidiness but has also empowered the students to take ownership of their learning environment.

When my students first saw the seat sacks, they were thrilled! It was like a mini celebration in the classroom. Their faces lit up, and there was an immediate sense of pride in their space. I could see them feeling more responsible and eager to organize their materials for the upcoming activities.

With these seat sacks, my students no longer have to leave their seats to gather aupppies from different areas of the room. They have all they need to be successful right at their seats! This has maximized learning time and minimized confusion with gathering supplies.

The tissues have also been a huge help! It might seem like a small thing, but during flu season, having an extra supply of tissues has kept us moving smoothly. No one has to blow their nose on our scratchy school paper towels, which is a huge blessing!

Your support has made all of this possible. Thank you again for being part of our journey. The difference you've made is evident in the smiles on my students' faces and the level of engagement in our lessons.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Baldwin

  • Help! We Need a Rug!

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of the classroom rug. It has already made a huge difference in the way my 3rd graders engage with learning and each other!

Since we received the rug, we've been using it as a central space for our morning meetings, reading sessions, and group discussions. The bright colors and cozy feel have transformed our classroom, creating a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and participating actively. One memorable moment was the first time we sat on the rug in a circle. The kids were so excited to have a designated space to gather and discuss our read-aloud story, and sitting together as a class community sparked some fantastic conversations. This rug has truly helped foster a sense of community in our classroom.

When the students first saw the rug, their faces lit up! They immediately started picking out their favorite colors and asking if they could sit there. The rug has become a symbol of a positive, collaborative learning space for them.

Your donation has truly made a difference in how my students learn, collaborate, and connect. Thank you for being such an important part of their educational journey!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Baldwin

  • There’s No Place Like 3rd Grade

    Funded Feb 5, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom! These donations have truly supplied my students with what they need for a fun-filled, learning-packed school year!

My class this year has been working hard on growing both socially and emotionally. As stated in my fund request, my calm-down corner is never empty- there is usually a waiting line. The materials you donated (pop-it's, social-story books, feelings charts, etc.) have transformed this space into a place for students to identify and label their feelings, and then practice responding to these feelings in an appropriate and productive way.

On the topic of SEL, my students love to be read to, and we have really strong discussions following SEL-based read-alouds. The books you donated have given me the chance to share relevant and relatable social stories with my students, always followed by deep discussions that leave my students with social skills to practice in the real world. I have watched them grow kinder and more compassionate, frequently referencing the characters in their books. It's such a pleasure to see/hear!

I am also SO appreciative of the pencil sharpeners and paper cutter you donated. These have allowed me to get time-consuming tasks done much quicker, gifting me with more time for my students. In one of the photos you will see the magnets, markers and magnetic folder you donated- just some of the many things that make our daily world go round here in grade 3!

You have truly made a huge impart on the success of this school year for me and my students. I appreciate your generosity more than you know, and I want to stress how much you have helped teachers!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Baldwin
