  • Turn Up The Sound In My Headphones

    Funded Oct 30, 2017

We have received the headphones, what a difference they have made within our classroom. Thank you! My students were SO EXCITED when the box got delivered to the classroom! They were relieved to finally have their own individual headphone that they could use during class time to help them listen to audio books and any resource that contained audio. With these new headphones students are able to hear their stories without getting distracted by their neighbors technology since we were limited to only five headphones before your donation. Your donation has truly saved the day!”

  • Turning The Page In A Different Genre

    Funded Jul 18, 2017

Thank you so much for your donation! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be able to provide my students with a bin full of a new genre of books they have yet to explore. Without donations from generous people like you, many of the things we do in the classroom would be impossible. You are truly enhancing the lives of our students with every donation you make and I sincerely appreciate all your help!I am fill with deep appreciation and thankfulness towards your donation to my classroom. You gave my students more to look forward to as they push themselves to the next level in their reading abilities. You provided my students with so much more than books in which you couldn't imagine. Thank you with all my heart! People like you convey the message that acts of kindness and thoughtfulness never fades away!”

  • Easel Magic!

    Funded Dec 12, 2016

I am so thankful to people like you who value education. Your generous donations to fund our much needed learning easel have made a great impact in our classroom. We use the easel daily and for many different learning activities! The lessons I model for writing are clearly seen by all of my students now and I can see an improvement already in sentence structure and paragraph formation. The greatest impact your donation has given my students is the gift of my students being little teachers themselves as they use the easel to example and write their thinking to their peers. How amazing is that? Students teaching one another with little involvement from the actual teacher has been a goal of mine for quite some time. You made this goal a reality.

Thanks to donors like you, we have a versatile tool that facilitates daily learning. My students and I are so very appreciative. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Wrenn

  • Clutter Free Green Machines!

    Funded Dec 12, 2016

Not only have you changed the lives of my students but you have also changed our planet earth by making it one step closer to becoming green with your donation of a scanner for my students. Due to your donation my students are scanning their projects and saving them electronically. The scanner allows my students to learn how to use technology in the classroom to prepare them for the future. Furthermore, I am in the process of teaching my students how to digitally scan and save their projects so they are able to publish their completed project to the Internet.”

  • Zooming In!

    Funded Dec 12, 2016

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! Words don't express my excitement, joy, and thanks for your donation to my Donors Choose Project! It means so much that you share a want to help children in today's schools.

This document camera is a complete hit within my classroom. It has provided my students with close-up displays of everything from photos, directions, examples, and so much more! The children love having it to help them with their learning! I feel that this document camera has definitely boosted my students' learning because we no longer have to take the time to pass pictures to every student or walk around the classroom when providing my students with specific directions for their activity. It has also been a huge time-saver, which allows for more opportunities to do other quality educational activities. Thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart! Your donation is making a difference in the lives of 62 students this year and many more students in the years to come!”

  • Supercharged Bloggers!

    Funded Dec 13, 2016

Thank you so much! I am so incredibly happy to be receiving this donation. Although, it might be small to others, your donation was truly tremendous in both my students and my own eyes. My students can now continue their blogging and for those who do not have any form of technology at home I have created a rotating check out system for the tablets. My students are so excited to take the tablets home and use them to enrich their academic learning. You have helped to further motive my students and pushed them further in developing their new literacies skills. Words can't explain the magic you have set forth within my classroom.”

Thank you so much for your very generous donation! Thanks to you, my students have been able to receive their weekly homework sheets, reading passages and print out their research projects. Due to your generosity, my students are able to further their creativity without having to think about the lack of supplies within our classroom. Again, I would like to say thank you for your support of my students creativity and learning process. You are a true example to my students that people all over are cheering for them.”

  • Wobbling As I Learn!

    Funded Dec 12, 2016

These wobble chairs have changed my class completely! These chairs are absolutely a hit with my student. Within in days of receiving the wobble chairs I observed that my students engagement has increased. Once the chairs entered the classroom they became motivated and looked further to working more than I have ever seen! They are able to wobble and tilt without being a distraction to their peers in the classroom. The wobble chairs have given my most active students the opportunity to be under control yet active during classroom activities. What a difference the wobble chairs have made for my students with attention/hyperactivity difficulties as well as active general education students! I'm hoping one day I will be able to have one for each of my students!”

  • A Home Restored!

    Funded Dec 12, 2016

I thank you with all of my heart for your generous donation toward my Home Restored Project. I can honestly tell you that is has been a huge success in my classroom. Your donation has given my students the opportunity to read more books at home on a daily basis and has allowed them to keep their books undamaged. My students were surprised and excited upon receiving these items in the mail. Their eyes lit up when they saw that they could take home the "fancy" book baggie with a brand new books and book marks. The best thing is that my students are enjoying reading more than ever. I truly cannot express the full gratitude that we all have for your kindness. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  • Media On The Move!

    Funded Dec 12, 2016

The very first word to come out of my mouth once I placed the Mobile Media Cart in its destination was the word, success! That successful moment was all thanks to your generous donation. Receiving the mobile media cart brought excitement and organization into my classroom. Your donation has enriched my life and the lives of my students by helping us organize classroom technology and learning materials that we use everyday. I sincerely appreciate your donation and wish to thank you on behalf of myself, my current students, and all of my future students. Your donation will be used for many, many years to come.”

My 4th graders attend a Title One school located in the South Bronx in which 30% live in shelters. Their goal is to read at their grade level by the end of the school year. Many struggle in the area of reading and don't have the resources to fully support and grow their reading muscle at home. For example, they do not have books to read at home. Therefore, they are in need of a variety of books to borrow within the classroom. Despite the obstacles they face on a daily basis they are always eager to learn and never give up hope. As their teacher I buy books of their interests out of my own pocket because I want to provide them with the opportunities to read with their peers and most importantly instill the joy that reading can bring regardless of the challenges within your own life.
