Tactile Tamers Needed for Differently Abled Learners
Funded Nov 13, 2024Thanks you for your wonderful support towards my students in ensuring they have the supports needed to function and thrive within my classroom.
It has allowed my students to engage more as the compression vests helps them calm down and minimize their outbursts.
The hand held mirror helps distract them during meltdowns and helps to let them attempt to self regulate.
The book we are extremely happy for as it allows each student to feel accepted of their differences and their unique abilities.
Every item has had a profound and positive effect within our room , and we could not have thrive without your amazing support this semester. Thank you for taking the time to support projects as ours.”

Funded Dec 30, 2023I cannot THANK you enough for you generosity towards this project. It has been extremely beneficial for my students in several ways.
It has helped my students with being able to understand what are feelings and the various ways we can express and show feelings; as well as managing the strong feelings we sometimes have.
It has also allowed some of my students to vocalize some feelings. My minimally verbal and non verbal students get joy from interacting with these devices. It helps in the soothing and calming down processes greatly! They enjoy looking at themselves in the mirror, and moving along the grid to show the different kinds of feelings.
It has allowed them to more understand the feelings chart displayed in the calming corner when they are having difficulty with managing strong feelings and helping friends too.
My classroom is more manageable as I have the tools to help with creating a more calming atmosphere for instruction because you cared!! A Million THANK YOU's for all your help towards my students. I will always be grateful to you for your generous and unwavering support for my students!”

Viewing Live And In Color
Funded Jun 5, 2023My sincerest eternal THANKS to you for considering my project and prioritizing my students. You have made learning more fun and engaging especially for my non-verbal students who rely heavily on pictures to learn concepts and relay thoughts or just gain knowledge. You have made a world of a difference to my students.
We now have individual schedules, color worksheets, more colored materials for instruction. My students are more willing to engage with the materials as its truly clear and concreate colored materials for them to understand.
It has made all learners more eager to participate in the learning process. It has even boosted attendance as students are unwilling to miss school looking forward to fun instruction, where they can use pictures to help them learn and understand.
Thank you again for contributing to classrooms like mine, to provide the support students need to gain a fuller understanding of the world, and things around them. Also it has truly strengthen class routines and structures, providing predictability for everyday occurrences.”

They are able to independently monitor and control the maneuvering of their schedules; allowing then to have predictability as well as to be able to self monitor behaviors, and have autonomy over themselves better.

Learning Using Colored Visuals For My Students!

Students can also use printed materials to engage with as learning tools. For e.g our number crate for students to learn numbers and their amounts. Students can also use pictures as guidelines to help them know and understand daily expectations, learn concepts, and have clearer visuals for learning, all because of your generosity and kindness exhibited towards my students!”

Funded Mar 6, 2021Thank you for helping us with our printing needs. Many pictures and photos were needed in our social studies curriculum and having the means to produce these photos to enhance learning was greatly appreciated!
Students explored differences in cultures within our country as well as around the world.
They made comparisons of the various cultural practices and having these photos in color made it so much easier for students to understand.
They also looked at injustices, and the ways they can become activists to help others less fortunate and impact change within their community; and those surrounding.
Having clear colored photos enable them to make the connections pat and present to understand communities and changes that were needed and necessary for equality. Your donations were able to make this possible!

Books for Emerging Readers
Funded Feb 22, 2021This project has allowed my students to explore and handle books from all genres. It was a wonderful feeling to see many of my students begin reading, because of your help.
Daily we had special moments where students will select a book to practice the reading skill taught. The read with a partner or individually to build these needed skills.
I am forever grateful for your generous donations to further students as they build literacy skills towards successful outcomes.

I Need a Printer and Toner
Funded Feb 6, 2021I want to sincerely thank you for your generosity in making our classroom function much smoother. We have had several quarantines, and it has been challenging to get students to perform some of the necessary work on line. By you providing a printer with ink we are able to make the necessary copies, and supply students with the worksheets needed for writing and our homework packets.
Also for students unable to have the book( forgetting texts at home) when we're back in the classroom; we can facilitate this student by making an immediate copy for them to have for math, social studies, science and other areas ; without that student feeling left out of the learning process and maintiang classroom engagement within the activities we perform.
You have made a huge difference in the lives of our struggling students to access the materials they would not have otherwise been able to, as some of them don't have printers so they depend on us to provide the needed sheets to accomplish the tasks at hand.
Our appreciation of what you did for us is insurmountable, and we will always be grateful that you saw our need and took the time to help.”

Help me Turn my Room Into a Rainforest
Funded Apr 15, 2018My sincerest THANK YOU"s to you for making our year a success for our students. We were able to create many hands-on projects which the students enjoyed with every Pre-k Theme and Unit.
Students loved painting pictures, creating different kinds of transportation, drawing, and having fun and engaging manipulatives that motivated and promoted learning within the various classroom Centers.
The bulletining board paper, and stationary made the class attractive and stimulating for my students and their families.We could not have had a wonderful year of creativity, and creative hands on learning opportunities without your tremendous support.
On first having the materials students were eager to open the packages and their squeals of delight were such a thrill; to see how happy they were to see the supplies for our classroom.
Allowing us the opportunity to have these items so much needed, afforded me to better teach and create the needed teaching aids and charts and foster much growth and development within my classroom; as we daily work towards reaching student's full potential at this level.”
