Imagine when you are trying to focus on a difficult task and the person next to you is playing loud music, the sun reflecting into your eyes or your cloths are not fitting right. Being over stimulated through sensory input can make focusing on challenging tasks even harder. Research has shown fluorescent lighting can cause overstimulation for students with special needs. These covers will allow our classroom to be well lit while accommodating our students' sensory sensitivities. The softer lighting creates a comforting environment that encourages greater focus on classroom activities. When their sensory needs are met our students have a greater ability to self-regulate which in turns supports their efforts on challenging work in the classroom.
