Students succeed when they are engaged in the topic they are studying. More often than not, school keeps students indoors, seated, and passive in their learning. All teachers want their students to be active learners. This is best done when students get up and interact. The Microsoft Surface Book will allow students to go outside and discover math in their world. Whether they are at the field calculating the path of a ball with video equipment, or at the concert capturing sound with audio equipment, the Goal Zero Yeti Portable Power Station will make it possible. From there the Surface Book will allow them to analyze the data all in real time. Back in the classroom they will be able to share their findings with the entire class and encourage others to think outside the box and apply their math skills to the world outside.
