In third grade, students learn how to become more independent readers. This means that everyday students have the opportunity to choose their own books, read and store them in these book bags for daily reading sessions after lunch. Currently I do not have a proper location for students to store their books, therefore I've noticed that students are wasting valuable reading time by trying to find books during their reading time. A personal book bag helps students maintain accountability for their own reading and they will be able to choose more than one book to read. This will also help students be more organized. These book bags give students an opportunity to choose books for their own interests and motivates them to continue learning.
