I have done my research on the pros and cons of flexible seating and I feel that would be an innovative way to help students feel empowered by being about to pick their place to sit. Flexible seating gives the student the ability to move and not feel restricted to a desk and chair, they are able to wiggle and wobble are they learn. The students that I have in my room would benefit from having different types of sensory through the different types of seating. My students are stuck in a desk and chair combo where the two are connected, which causes them to be frustrated towards their peers and me. They have expressed multiple times how uncomfortable it is to sit in the desk. I feel that the students would be motivated and connected in learning if they had the ability to sit in a place that is comfortable and catering to their needs to learn. Bar stools in the room would give the students the ability to move their legs as they are learning. The gaming rockers give the students the ability to rock back and forth as the lesson is going on. The couch would give the students the ability to do group work in a comfortable setting. The coffee table gives a student the option to sit low to the ground if they prefer to work low to the ground so they can move their legs around.
