  • Let’s Get to the Point! Sharp Pencils Please!

    Thank you so much for donating to our project. We are learning all our letter sounds and beginning to write to tell stories and information about topics. We are so glad that we have these nice sharp pencils that don't break when we sharpen them or every time we push down on the paper! The sharpener is so great. We are able to keep our pencils nice and sharp so our writing is nice and neat! We are just beginning with our journey as writers but with these tools we can develop our hand writing and create interesting stories. Thank you so much!”

  • Books in Those Little Hands

    I uploaded some pictures of the children enjoying and reading the books from the project. Many are now reading independently. The children were so excited to get new books in the class that they can read independently or with a partner. These books helped my emergent second language learners because they have simple text that match the pictures. As they are learning to decode and build their sight words they are also building their vocabulary so these books are great. Students pair up so that they can help each other and have practice reading and speaking fluently. The books were a great addition to our library and will be enjoyed by many classes to come. Thank you!”
