We Need to Stick Together!

Help me give my students glue sticks and Magna-tiles. We have a few Magna-tiles but not really enough to create amazing structures and of course we can never have enough glue sticks to complete our projects.

  • Listen Along to a Great Book!

    Funded Jan 18, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to the project. The students are loving being able

To sit in our library area and listen to books on CD. It's great that it does not involve staring at a screen but instead listening to and reading along with a book. Because there are multiple books they can read along and share parts of the book they like with friends. The audio helps

Them to clearly hear a book read to them in English. It's just a great addition to our classroom.

We are so grateful that you have supported our project!”

  • Gather Round and Glue!

    Funded Aug 31, 2023

The stools are so great! At first we thought they might be a little tall but they help

The students pull right up to the table. I have prek this year so the students love using them in all

The centers. They gather around the table in the kitchen, work on legos, create art projects and join in small group lessons. Me and the para love them too. To sit next to a student while they settle down for a nap and go have students gather round for a read aloud. Thank you for contributing to this project!!”

  • Everyday Essentials

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation to bring extra schools supplies to our classrooms. Students are perfecting their skills and getting ready for their first grade work at this point. We are using the dry erase markers to practice our handwriting, making words and math facts. We are making our learning fun with manipulative projects - using the glue sticks to sort words and create art projects and the playdough to solve math problems, model vocabulary and story elements. The masking tape helps us with everything! Thank you so much for helping to make our learning fun!”

  • Cold, Hard Floors are Not Comfortable

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

We are getting so much use of the horseshoe table in the classroom. It allows us to meet in small groups and work on skills based on students individual needs. The table fits perfectly and the materials can be set up and ready so we can efficiently meet and rotate groups so all students can have their turn. I am also so glad not to have to gather groups on the floor! It makes such a difference to meet with students daily and be able

Check their understanding and give additional support where they need it.”

  • Half Pints are Highly Effective!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

I just received the box of Half Pint Readers this morning! The students were so excited that special friends donated the books to our classroom. All the students are motivated to learn their letters and sounds so they can start decoding and sounding out the words in the books.

We do already have the beginner set of books which students can read once they are beginning to blend CVC words. Now after introducing digraphs, blends and word endings students will be ready for the new books you have helped to bring to our library. Not only are the books great for decoding , the students love to follow the characters through the series.

We are very grateful to you for helping to bring the books to our classroom!”

  • Off and Writing!

    Funded Dec 17, 2021

Thank you so much for helping to complete my project this year. The students have been working so hard and becoming little readers and writers. Everyday we use the pencils and books to practice our handwriting, sounding out words and writing. We have made little books with the copy paper to allow us to have our own decodable texts to bring home and practice reading with our families. It is amazing to see how much the students have grown as readers and writers. They are so proud of themselves! Thank you so much!”

  • Printable Pages for Practice

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to this project. There are times when the curriculum we use needs a little boost.

The TPT gift card has allowed me to provide my students with printed pages that allow them to use their new knowledge to complete tasks

Such as picture sorts, read individualized texts that match the phonemes they have learned as well sequencing activities.

They really enjoy these activities and have shown their understanding of the concepts while completing the tasks.

The gift card will help me to supplement their learning as well as make it more enjoyable my students.”

  • Protect Our Tablets!

    Funded Feb 17, 2021

Thank you so much for contributing to the project for IPad cases. We are feeling very cool now that we can work with our iPads and move to different spots around the room with them. The stylus pens have been helpful also. Our handwriting is improving and it makes it so much easier to write on the tablets. We really appreciate all the items! When we are working in groups it is very helpful. The students can keep

Their distance and while using peardeck I can see all of the students work while maintaining a social distance. It is making a big difference!”

  • Reaching All With SOR!

    Funded Jul 16, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to my project to receive the Letrs training. I received it at the beginning of the school year so I have been getting into it slowly. It is a great training because it goes over all the essentials of reading foundational skills - phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing and language. By having a deeper knowledge of the why and how of reading instruction I have the resources to provide initial systematic reading instruction and then provide remediation to students who are struggling. I am learning exactly how the different parts of the brain work together to recognize sounds, letters and words and how to recognize what aspects of retention students might be struggling with and also to better recognize students who might have dyslexia. I feel better prepared already and look forward to gaining knowledge as I continue with the training. Thank you again!”

    Ms. Boison

My students are mostly second language learners from lower income families. They are motivated to learn! Many families do not have a lot of books in their homes and I would like to be able to have students reinforce their learning and bring their easy reader books home to read to their parents.
