South Bronx Pre- K Immerse in a Reading Adventure
Funded Dec 28, 2024I couldn't be happier seeing my students' smiling faces when the new books and complementary resources arrived. They have been designing their clothes and learning about clothes cultural and job representation. My students also enjoyed listening to read-aloud and using books as provocations for their designs.
I am extremely thankful for your generosity and support for our students' language and vocabulary skills. People like you make a huge difference in our public school education system and your support continues to provide opportunities to close gaps for inequalities and lack of opportunities. Thank you again for your kind support of our Bronx Pre-kindergarteners!”

South Bronx Pre-K Ride to Success
Funded Oct 23, 2024I couldn't be happier seeing my students' faces shining with confidence and happiness during recess time. Every day they look forward to going outside and have the opportunity to take a turn riding one of the tricycles. The first few days, a few children had trouble putting their feet on the pedals to propel the tricycles forward. However, as the days have gone by, my students are getting much more confident and their gross motor skills are improving every day.
I am extremely thankful for your generosity and support for our students' gross motor skills and for helping to improve their overall development. Prek Managing Big Feelings
Funded Sep 18, 2024It's with tremendous gratitude that we thank you for supporting our students in our Pre K classroom. They have enjoyed playing and working with our new sensory materials and games. We have incorporated them into our Cozy Corner and now all of our students can't wait to go to that area each day. We also read several books including A Little Spot of Feelings and incorporated many activities about feelings and emotions. We will definitely continue using all of these materials to support our students for the remainder of the year.”

Funded May 22, 2019I am extremely excited that my project was funded. My little explorers started going to the forest area at the New York Botanical Garden and are very enthusiastic about their experiences and explorations. They are always looking at the calendar, pointing and saying, "Are we are going to the forest?, That's our forest". They are questioning, observing and loving nature more and more. Parents are commenting about how nature is becoming part of their lives even when they take a walk with their kids in their neighborhood. Children are picking up leaves and natural objects and asking or reciting learned facts about their observations on their natural surroundings. The forest is providing our kids a scientific environment to explore, but it is also providing our students the opportunity to run and enjoy nature. They are also becoming more caring of the animals and living things in our environment. Without the proper car seats for our trips, we wouldn't be able to provide our students with these great opportunities that are based on research and can make a huge impact on our students' educational path. Thus, our students and I will always be thankful for your huge support.”
