  • We Love to Learn!

    Funded Jun 9, 2022

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation in supporting my class' "We Love to Learn" project. Your commitment to helping the education of students with disabilities is sincerely appreciated. The goal of the project was to provide access to appropriately leveled curriculum. With the help of donations from supporters such as yourself we are excited to watch the children grow, learn and communicate in which your donation helped to provide. Currently, our classroom consists of 12 middle school-aged students, all diagnosed with a moderate disability, such as Autism, Intellectual disabilities, and Neurological disabilities. However, even with such disabilities, our students are very eager learners, who always put their all into everything they do. I want to once again, say thank you for your generous donation in having an interest in, as well as supporting the education of students with special needs. I can tell you that your donation has had and will continue to have a tremendous impact on the learning within my classroom.”

I am a special needs teachers in a low income, inner-city school district. My classroom consists of 12 amazing middle school-aged students, all diagnosed with a moderate disability, such as Autism, Intellectual disabilities, and Neurological disabilities. Their eagerness, and enthusiasm towards learning is not only contagious but inspiring as well, as despite the difficulties they endure on a daily basis, they still come to school, every day, ready and excited to learn. My students inspire and motivate me, not only to be a better teacher, but to become a better person as well.
