  • Let's Builds These Bricks!

    Funded Dec 21, 2023

First and foremost thank you for donating to my classroom. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. My students were so excited to see all of the Lego STEM challenge kits they received. Their imagination went wild when I first handed them out to them. I knew there was so much more than playing with building blocks happening in my classroom. They are socializing, engineering, designing, using problem solving skills and speaking to each other in the most meaningful way.

The impact you made on my students by purchasing these supplies for my classroom is incredible. Thank you for your generosity. You have really went above and beyond for my students and we really appreciate you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tartaglione

This classroom project was brought to life by Con Edison and one other donor.
  • Let's Code and Go

    Funded Mar 25, 2022

Thank you so much for your contribution to my project. My classes were very excited to work with the Code & Go Mouse. Thanks to your generosity the students were able to work in smaller groups which gave them more opportunity to code the mouse instead of working in larger groups. I love how the Code & Go Robot Mouse comes with cards to help kids create mazes but it is not limited to the cards or the maze. My kids enjoyed creating their own routes for the mouse on the hardwood floor. The critical thinking skills that they learned will definitely help them with STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) skills that they will need to accomplish great things in life!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tartaglione

  • More Supplies Equals More Creativity!!

    Funded Apr 7, 2021

Supporting my classroom really helped my students get through an already difficult year with all the COVID-19 restrictions. All the students were able to not have to worry about having the supplies they needed to work everyday. With all the restrictions the students were not allowed to share anything, not even pencils. But with your support each student had enough pencils, erasers, and sharpeners. They also were able to participate in art class with the sketchbooks and colored pencils that you provided them.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Tartaglione

  • Let's Scratch the Surface!

    Funded Jun 13, 2019

This product is most exciting to my students, especially because of the touch screen. I teach in an ICT setting and there is a student who recieves OT and Pt services so this is a great resource for him. I also use it in small group, it keeps the students engaged and its easy for the kids to utilize. My students have immediate access to more resources and can easily switch between pen and ink, touch, or typing while using the devices in Tablet Mode, Laptop Mode, or Studio Mode, depending on what makes the most sense for the lesson and their individual learning styles. This not only provides a tool that allows me to personalize learning for my students, I can customize my lessons and give extra attention to the students who need it. This also helps me to inspire a passion for STEM by ensuring students take advantage of full software, apps, and web tools. This surface Go has been such a great addition for my classroom and we really appreciate all the donors that took the time to help my students!!!! Thank You So Much!!!”

An Apple iPad Pro is a necessity in my room. Teaching in an ICT setting, I rely on a lot of small group instruction. The iPad Pro will help me move from group to group easily while still being able to model the new skill being taught to them. This will give my special needs students a better chance at successfully engaging their fine motor skills to tap and swipe items. The Apple pencil lets the students practice handwriting, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor tasks that would be missed if they solely relied on the finger touch and swiping option. By donating to our project you will ultimately help to increase our academic achievement.
