My students are my daily inspiration. Many of my students come from unfortunate situations, some from broken homes and or they live with foster families. At times, my students come hungry, sometimes dirty, without warm coats on cold and rainy days, but they are always eager and ready to learn. Regardless of their home situation, they show enthusiasm for education and are quickly learning early reading strategies and how to talk about books. My 2nd grade students are energetic and embrace new texts. I hope to instill a lifelong love of literacy in each and every one of my students!
