Empowering Learning with a Classroom Set of Graphing Calculators

Thank you so much for your generosity in funding 24 new graphing calculators for my students! While my students had access to calculators before, many were sharing devices and had to wait for their turns. Some of the calculators also didn't have battery covers which would result in batteries falling out. Now, with a full set of updated calculators, every student has their own to use during class, which has greatly improved both engagement and efficiency in learning.

These calculators have made a big difference in how my students interact with math. They can now explore functions, transformations, and real-world applications with greater ease and independence. Instead of waiting for a turn to use a calculator or struggling with limited features, they can dive right into problem-solving.

One of the biggest benefits has been the boost in student confidence. A few students who were hesitant to use graphing calculators before are now eager to experiment with different functions. One student, who used to rely heavily on others for help, told me, "Now that I have my own, I finally get how to use it, and it's actually helping me understand the math better." Moments like these remind me just how valuable this donation is.
