  • Printing Delaware Landscapes

    I want to share with you my students reaction when they saw the new materials that I was able to obtain, thanks to you. When the students first saw how their drawing can be reproduced by making prints they were very thrilled to get started and begin the process.

    As we looked at the artist Edward Loper, who was a Delaware artist. We recognized some of the city scapes in his paintings, as being our a place we know very well, Wilmington. So the students agreed that we should draw our neighborhoods. The typical Wilmington row homes with stoops.

    The students eagerly drew their neighborhoods and quickly transfered them onto the styrofoam plate for printing. They really enjoyed rolling the ink on their plates and seeng the magic that was create as they lifted a print. Once again my students and I really appreciate your donations that made this magic happen.”
