• Lightweight Luminescent (Cell Phone) Locker for Learning

  Funded Jan 22, 2025

  Thank you so so very much for your help in getting our cellphone lockers. I am profoundly appreciative of all your generosity in funding our project (my students not so much). We want to thank you for all the lockers to better our classroom. I requested several lockers so that they could be distributed around my classroom and my students would have easy access to get them at the end of the period. My students, rather begrudgingly do put their cell phones in the lockers and are far more engaged in our lessons. I also love that they now realize that having their cellphone in their hands is a privilege and not a right, as many students now in days believe.

  I am so so grateful that I can get their attention more readily than before.

• Wobbling While We Wearn

  We would like to thank you for the Lakeshore chairs for our amazing tables.

  While costly, these chairs have really proven their worth. My students are tired and exhausted even in the morning when they arrive to school. The chairs have been incredible for their exhaustion, and impatience.

  As of today we have 32 chairs. We should have a full class set (with our declining enrollment, 32 is enough). We thank you, without your help, learning would be a lot more strenuous. I know these are tough times. Donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively. We thank you for thinking of us.”

  Thank you so so very much for your help in funding MORE new games for our Games Advisory Class. My students and I profoundly appreciate all your generosity in funding our project. We want to thank you for all the new fun and exciting games, as we had almost none when we started the class, had a games Donors choose project funded for the first batch and now got the second batch funded too. We have a larger array of games to chose from on a daily basis.

  Seeing my students completely detached from their phones, interacting with each other face to face, is truly refreshing. Hearing them speak to each other, strategizing, and laughing makes me so happy. My students' absolute favorite period is now full of genuine fun, thanks to your generosity.

• Recreation for the Mind: Board Games for Teens

  Thank you so so very much for your help in funding new games for our Games Advisory Class. My students and I profoundly appreciate all your generosity in funding our Games project. We want to thank you for all the new fun and exciting games, as we had almost none when we started the class. They have a large array of games to chose from on a daily basis. They are all being used daily. And are grateful for them.

  I too am grateful, as an instructor because with the games my students are completely detached from their phones and are interacting with each other face to face. It is truly refreshing hearing them speak to each other, strategizing, and laughing. Many have told me, its their absolute favorite period of the day as they have few worries and have genuine fun. Other students, whom are not part of the class, have expressed interest in joining, but we have no more room in the class.

• Worktables to Wobble While We Wearn

  My students and I would like to thank you for the two Lakeshore tables. We were thrilled with their arrival and continued use. While they dont fit our other tables, as we thought they would, we've made them work for our flexible seating, especially with pair/cooperative learning. They have definitely added to the great sense of pride as we've converted all our classroom to flexible seating.

  With your help, my students have a comfortable space to learn every day. These tables have proven so effective that I've written over 8 Donors Choose projects so that all my students sit at Lakeshore tables instead of the 25-year-old desks that I had in my classroom for over 20 years. For now 30 of my students have alternative seating using Lakeshore tables. With our declining enrollment, I think that will be enough. I may request two more jus tin case, but for now everyone has flexible seating at tables.

  Better classroom flexible furniture is essential to the learning environment. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Without your help, learning would be a lot more strenuous for my students and I. Donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively.”

• Wobbling Chairs for Students

  Funded Jan 1, 2025

  Expressing our gratitude to you for providing my students and I with Lakeshore Flex-Space Ergo Bounce Cantilever chairs for our tables will never be enough. We are truly in your debt.

  The value of these Flex-Space Ergo Bounce chairs has been amply demonstrated these past few years as when students arrive in the morning, worn out and exhausted, they're much more relaxed and comfortable in these chairs. For their fatigue and impatience, the chairs have been amazing.

  My students have a cozy place to learn every day thanks to your donation. I've written other projects for more because these have worked so well. We currently have roughly thirty chairs. To have a complete class set, we simply need a few more. Those few who do not receive one frequently arrive at class early the following day

  to ensure they are seated on one. They are highly liked by my students and others. I even have a group of about twenty-eight children who come to eat lunch and brunch in my room, many of whom I do not know, but whose friends have told them to come. I even have a games class during advisory, because so many students are comfortable in my classroom.

  Because of you, we are truly grateful. Learning would be much more difficult without your assistance. Donors like you enable me to perform my duties as a teacher efficiently by helping me create a livable classroom.

  We will always be appreciative of your kindness in considering us. We appreciate your contribution to improving the world, one classroom at a time!”
