My students are extraordinary individuals facing significant challenges. Many are at risk of dropping out of high school or have returned after leaving to complete their diploma requirements. Traditional high school settings didn’t work for them, and they face barriers like being unhoused or unaccompanied youth, adolescent parents, or struggling with mental health challenges. Despite these obstacles, their perseverance and resilience shine through. With the unwavering support of school staff and their determination, these students are overcoming barriers and working tirelessly to achieve their education, demonstrating incredible strength and potential.
