Robotics For Rural School
Funded Dec 4, 2024Thank you so much for your donations. My students LOVE these little robots. We have spent a week playing games and learning how to code. I am amazed at the engagement that my students have with these Spheros. So far, we have created miniature golf holes and used block coding to solve them and we have created synchronized light/movement shows in small groups. At the end of the day they also love playing robot tag with the Spheros.
Beyond the fun, we have been able to discuss physics and movement, geometry and angels and we have gone deep into the scientific method. The Sphero has made all of these subject areas tangible for my students. I knew these would be a hit but I underestimated how wide the impact would be.
