First Year Teacher Establishing Organization

Being a first year teacher, coming up with supplies can be difficult. You try to make do with what you have, which is what I did with the carpet that was in this room. After taping and taping it day after day, I asked my colleagues what I could do to get a new carpet. That is when I coworker suggested donors choose. I decided why not but didn't have high hopes.

That changed one day when I got an email stating that my project had been funded. I was so over filled with joy and gratitude that someone cared to help!

It may not seem like much to you, but this carpet has been a game changer in the classroom. The kids have more room to sit comfortably and without the distraction of the tape! So much more is learned and in our time together and this has helped to achieve that goal
