I appreciate the support that was poured into my classroom. I am a teacher mom I have two children of my own who I am constantly reaching out to their own teachers to see how I can support their classrooms. This year I realized that in my attempts to make their classrooms the best I had neglected my own classroom. At my title 1 school we are given a budget of 0$ to set up our classrooms. This makes it very difficult for parents like myself who have to buy supplies for our own children. There are coworkers at my school who receive classroom donations from classroom moms yet in my bilingual classroom most of my students receive free and reduced lunch therefore I know asking parents for donations also puts families in a difficult position. Thank you for helping me provide valuable resources to my students they may otherwise never have the opportunity to have.”
