A Prototype for our Business Plan Competition

Funded Dec 4, 2024

The Virtual Enterprise International program at the High School for Arts and Business that compete in interscholastic business competitions based on challenging, collaborative, engaging business and entrepreneurial experiences. Central to our class business plan efforts were our 2025 product. We chose an upcycling toolkit designed to be one of the answers to fast fashion. We sought credibility by developing an actual prototype, but it was cost prohibitive until we sought the help of Donor's Choose. With Donor's Choose and Ms. Martha Escobar's help we were able to purchase a kit and all the contents we needed. Since procuring the kit, we have designed and upcycled dozens of attractive apparel pieces to the delight of the class. Our attached photographs will highlight the numerous ways in which our kits were used in the classroom, marketing, business plan competitions, and trade shows.

We achieved a berth to the Virtual Enterprise National Marketing Plan Competition and look forward to telling our story after competition. The Alter Eco team is working hard in practice and feel confident about our product, presentation, and team's readiness.”

With gratitude,
