  • Final Project Materials

    Funded Jan 31, 2025

Thank you so much! Your donation has helped support students across chemistry and biology classes for final projects. In chemistry students had to show the process of covalent bonds using craft materials and in biology students built dioramas of a biome of their choosing.

Bringing art and manipulatives into the classroom makes the learning more tangible particularly for students who struggle understanding the abstract or phenomena's we cannot see.

Your donation has helped us reach students even more in their academic journey.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Keludys

  • Tools for Biology

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Attending a public school in a big city has its perks: getting to be with other students from all over the city and sometimes the world, commuting on your own to name a few. And it also has some drawbacks like not having a huge beautiful campus with green grass like you might in a more suburban setting. As a teacher I try and make it my goal to give my students as many experiences that will make their schooling feel rich and exciting.

When we normally do our homeostasis unit we have students learn to check their pulse rates. This year we did the same thing but then we were able to have them compare their calculations with the oximeters that you generously contributed to! They were so excited and felt like doctors in training.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Keludys

  • Wellness Wednesdays Goody Bags

    Funded Nov 9, 2024

Thank you once again for your support on wellness Wednesday. We were able to pack goody bags for all 260 of our students. They were distributed on the Friday after wellness Wednesday.

We packed the pencil cases with pencils, a journal, stickers, fidget toys, and best of all: snacks! Since distributing the goody bags we have seen the pencils in use in classes, fidget toys swapped as students find the best one for them and the snacks of course were gone immediately haha. So thank you again so much for your contribution to our little community trying to take care of one another”
