Wellness and Mental Health in Art Club!

Thank you so much for your donation, it means the world to my students and me. The materials we received nurture students both physically and emotionally. I was able to provide them with a reliable source of food and comfortable environment in a world in which neither of those is guaranteed.

The students were so excited to each get their own sketchbook. It was many of their first sketchbooks and they took pride in decorating the covers with their names and illustrations. I have seen students' skill levels and desire to express their emotions through art increase since receiving them. A community of growing artists has formed, sharing sketchbook drawings with one another and creating art that is meaningful to their individual lives.

The sensory stickers have been a huge hit and because of your donation we had enough of them to distribute to all students at Humanities Preparatory Academy. Students have put the stickers on their laptops, notebooks and more so they can use them at a moment's notice. Students have additionally been inspired by the colors and designs of the stickers and have used that inspiration when creating their own illustrations. The impact of your donation has reached far beyond art club, students are sharing what they have learned with their peers and continue building a wonderful community.”
