Literacy & Life-long Readers
Funded Nov 15, 2024I hope this note finds you well. On behalf of my high school English class, I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your generous support in funding new books for our classroom. Your contribution is making an immeasurable difference in the lives of my students and the quality of their education.
With your support, we have been able to provide diverse and engaging reading materials that reflect the experiences, identities, and challenges of our student body. These books not only allow students to see themselves in the stories they read but also provide opportunities to learn about perspectives different from their own. This diversity is essential in fostering empathy, understanding, and critical thinking skills.
Additionally, your kindness supports trauma-informed instruction. Many of our students face challenges beyond the classroom, and these new resources help create a safe, nurturing environment where literature becomes a tool for healing, growth, and expression. Access to relevant, thoughtful stories is an invaluable way to help students navigate their experiences while developing their voices and imaginations.
Thanks to you, I have seen my students' excitement for reading grow. They are engaged, curious, and inspired to connect with the world around them through literature. None of this would have been possible without your belief in our mission.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your generosity and commitment to education. You are helping us build a community of readers, thinkers, and compassionate young people.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Vingan
