  • Have Demonstration, Can You See It?

    Funded May 24, 2007

What can I say? I am absolutely ecstatic to think that our class will be getting a table to use for such things as science experiments! No more "I can't see." Your generosity will definitely make a change in my students' education. Thank you soooooooo much for believing in us. I look forward to taking photos and sending them to you next fall when we set up our first lab”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jones

  • Have Whiteboards, No INK!

    Funded Apr 13, 2007

How great is this? Thank you sooooo much for funding our dry erase markers proposal. My students will be ecstatic to learn that we will be able to hit the boards, again! Watching their enthusiasm while we use the dry erase boards will be a real plus during the spring doldrums! This takes pushing the old paper and pencil to a higher dimension! Again, thanks! Peace”

  • Best Buddies

    Funded Apr 1, 2007

Thank you for much for your generous donation to fund our "Best Buddies" project. Building a mentoring program between sixth graders and first graders was only a dream of mine at the start of the school year. Not only did it help the little ones to have an academic and social "big kid" connection at school, it also helped my sixth graders to understand that there is more purpose to school than just reading, writing and 'rithmetic. I look forward to expanding the "Best Buddies" program into with two first grade classrooms next year. Again, many thanks”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jones

Teaching fifth grade in an urban setting is a challenge BUT I am up to it. Being prepared for the real world is important to us. As a teacher, my mantra this year is ICANMAKEYOUSMARTER and they are finding out just that!
