AP Capstone Resources!

I would like to personally thank you for your contribution to our AP Capstone classroom! With the supplies provided, our students have access to college level texts, guides, and tools needed to except within the program.

Our AP Research students have just completed their literature reviews; they will now be learning about various research designs and will be working closely with the books that have been purchased through this fundraiser. They will have access to scholars that are well known in the world of research and will be able to cite them as they conduct their own research. AP Research is a class with a lot of student choice. Students have selected a topic of interest including but not limited to: body image and social media, teaching strategies in math for students with Autism, color blinded in Bollywood, veterans receiving mental health services after serving in the US military, and the representation of the queer community in pop culture. Students are able to choose a research method that they feel would best fit their research. Our students will use the podium to present their findings.

Our AP Seminar students are currently working through their Individual Research Paper and are learning the rules of APA. We have just learned about the rules for references and will be transitioning to writing our papers using APA 7 in-text citation rules. Using the podium, students will present in groups and individually to share their findings on two different assessments throughout the year!
