Let's Have Fun At Recess!
Funded Dec 8, 2023I cannot thank you enough for the gifts you gave my students. My students could not wait for me to show them what was inside the Amazon box. Before your generous donations my students had to either use flimsy jump ropes or share the 2 decent ones. One of my students has been practicing trying to learn how to jump rope since September. She has finally learned how to do it with the new jump ropes!
The kids are having a blast seeing who can catch the ball the most in a row each day. So far the record to beat is 14!! They love running up and down the bus loop jumping over the skip its. It is so much fun watching all the different games the students have made up using the flying disks. None of this would have been possible without your generous donations. You have given my students such an amazing gift and we thank you for it everyday when we go outside to play at recess!”

Let's Have Fun Learning!
Funded Nov 29, 2022I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous gifts. My students LOVE these brain breaks and small group activity cards. They are so excited to use them. The Mathological Cards are amazing! Usually it is a chore to get the students to show their "proof and evidence" for answers. With this activity they are excited and begging to show how they know who is guilty.
The Riddle cards really challenge my students to look at all the evidence and persevere. I have some students who as soon as something is difficult they quit, but they want to figure out the riddles so badly that they keep trying.
The Funny Saying cards are great to use with my students who struggle with language as well as my students learning English as a second language.
The students ask everyday if they can play the sight word flash card game and are practicing their sight words at home so they can do better in the game at school.
Thank you again for helping me bring the love and fun back to learning in my classroom.”

Funded Mar 8, 2022Thank you very much for the class set of juggling scarves. The students were so excited when they saw them. They learned how to juggle in PE. The PE coach told me at his old school juggling was a schoolwide thing that all the teachers did with their students. I did some research and found out it had so many positive benefits both physically and educationally that I wanted to try it with my class.
Here are some of the biggest positives I noticed from the students juggling during brain breaks. 1. Perseverance- The students had to work hard and not give up. Some of the students picked up juggling very quickly, others did not. At first I noticed that the students who were struggling to juggle were quitting and not participating in the brain break. I encouraged them (and other students to help them) to keep trying. 2- The number of students who offered to teach and help students learn to juggle was amazing! The students were so patient and kind while teaching each other. 3- Juggling was a fun, moving brain break, but it did not make the students get too wild. The students were able to return back to learning quickly after juggling.
Thank you again for your generous donation. My students absolutely loved the juggling scarves and it was a great brain break in class.”

Individual Alternative/Flexible Seating Options
Funded Oct 22, 2021I want to thank you for your generosity. My students and I are so fortunate to have people who care about them so much. Before your generous donation, only 2 students had wiggle seats in my classroom. With your donation I was able to purchase wiggle seats for each of my students! When the students walked into the classroom and saw that they all had wiggle seats, they were so excited!
My class absolutely LOVES having the wiggle seats. These wiggle seats allow my students to stay in their seats, but it also allows them to have some movement without disrupting anyone around them.
Thank you again for your generous donation. You have truly had a positive effect on my class.”

Funded Mar 6, 2020Children LOVE to have a book of their own to read. Many students do not have their own books that are on their reading level. Adding these brand new books to the Bucket Buck rewards table is an awesome way for students to pick out their very own book. It allows students the opportunity to have new books and share the love of reading that so many of us adults already have.
We have only had two weeks of school this year, but my students are already showing me how much they love to read. They have different times throughout the day that they are allowed to read a book and so many of them are totally loving it. We even are starting a Flashlight Friday reading time. During this time we will turn the lights out in the classroom and the children will read with their very own flashlight. They are SO excited to start this next week.
Last year during the quarantine, I was teaching my students digitally. When I asked them what I could do to help them at home, many of them wanted new books. They all had an app on their ipad where they could read books, but they missed having a "real" book to read. I had been purchasing books from Scholastic for years and giving them to students so I had a little stash of new books in my class. I was lucky enough to be able to go and get the books and bring a new book to each one of my students. They were all extremely happy to get a book. It is the same this year. When my students saw the books that were donated, they were so excited and couldn't wait to earn bucket bucks to choose a new book.
Thank you so much for being so kind and generous with your donations. It is because of your generosity that so many students will be able to choose their very own new book this year.”
