  • 8vo Grado Mapas para Estudios Sociales

    Funded Feb 3, 2025

Thank you for your generous donation. The students truly appreciate having artistic opportunities to enhance their learning experiences. Currently, we are exploring the Constitution and the three branches of government. This topic is essential for understanding how our government functions and the rights it protects. To bring this subject to life, the students have been using papyrus paper and calligraphy pens to create artistic representations of the three branches of government. This hands-on approach not only helps them grasp the concepts better but also allows them to express their creativity and individuality through art.

In addition to the branch representations, some students are working on detailed maps of the Revolutionary War. They are utilizing the resources you provided, along with our class textbook, to gather information and create visually engaging projects. This activity encourages collaboration and critical thinking as they discuss and analyze key events and figures from the war. As they navigate this creative process, please note that it may take some time before I can share pictures of their completed work, as they are deeply engaged in perfecting their projects.

Once again, thank you for your unwavering support of dual language education. Your contribution plays a vital role in providing my students with enriching experiences as they learn about U.S. history and government in Spanish. The access to quality school supplies not only enhances their educational journey but also fosters a love for learning. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated, and they make a significant difference in the lives of my students, empowering them to thrive in their academic pursuits.”

  • Personal Hygiene Station

    Funded Feb 3, 2025

Thank you for the generous donations. The students thoroughly enjoyed the tic tacs, which added a nice touch to their day. Several of them have already come to take deodorant, tampons, hair gel, and Listerine, finding these items very helpful. I have found the band-aids to be useful every day in addressing minor injuries and ensuring that students feel cared for. Additionally, I distributed the protein bars to our Migrant Leaders Club, and they were a huge hit, providing much-needed energy and nourishment for the students who participated.

The support provided has made a significant difference in our classroom environment. My eighth graders feel more at home knowing that they have access to personal hygiene products right in the classroom. This availability not only helps them maintain their personal hygiene but also fosters a sense of security and well-being. Many students have expressed gratitude for having these items readily available, as it alleviates the stress of needing to find these necessities elsewhere. Overall, your contributions have positively impacted our students' daily lives, making them feel more comfortable and supported throughout their school day.”

  • Clean It Up

    Funded Nov 7, 2024

Thank you for purchasing supplies to help me keep my classroom clean. Especially over the winter, when many students have been sick with colds, it has been very nice to regularly clean my desks and white boards. Students also volunteer to clean the classroom after school for community service projects they are involved in with leadership groups.

The two spinning chairs have also been very helpful to provide options for students who need to move around while studying, and the lap desks have allowed my students to sit around the room and read if they would like to create their own space. This makes learning so much more desirable--when students have the ability to make some choice over where and how they learn.

    Thank you!”

  • Arte en la Classe

    Funded Dec 3, 2024

Thank you for donating to my class art supplies. We have used these art supplies to make class posters, participate in UDL choiceboard activities for various units. Having different art materials allows students to be expressive and creative and creates an inclusive classroom for students who do not get excited about only writing papers.

One project we did recently was a colonial choice board. Students got to choose between creating flyers, painting, and creating recipes based on information found about the 13 colonies. The art supplies made these projects both possible and exciting.

    Again, Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Schultz
