Relaxing Aides

First and foremost, I wanted to thank each and every one of you that helped me fund this project for my students. The look on their faces when the materials started to arrive were priceless. Although they are high school students, they were extremely excited to have all these little extras to get through those extra stressful days. So far, we have built the Legos during the time that they were on a testing schedule. On those days students are to stay with their first period teacher until testing is finished. That was a slow day so it gave them something to do. The snacks were also very appreciated! The students are always hungry and being that we're in a low income area, they appreciated all the food. The candy was used for our annual Halloween trick or treating with our special needs students. They passed by the main office dressed up and all the aides helped me distribute the goodies to them. As you can imagine, the Lysol and tissues are always being used on a daily basis. The coloring books have also been a hit amongst all the students. We will be decorating our pots that were donated for Mother's day. The students and I appreciate all the donations and kindness that everyone has shown us!”
